I have never heard wiser words spoken. I see that you understand the critical and often under-appreciated role the Pride Male plays in the dynamic of the pride.

Let me add, that hyenas are very adept at dealing with Lionesses and will frequently gang up on them and steal kills, kill cubs, etc. However, Pride Males are astoundingly efficient at killing Hyenas. Generally hyenas of any number will avoid the great maned terror whenever a mature male approaches. Also, when large prey (buffalo, hippos, elephants) are hunted, males frequently are required to administer the coup de grace for the kill. Also, the juvenile males would destroy the structure of a pride if the Pride Male did not evict their sons when they reached semi-mature status.

Here is an example of my favorite hyena 187. "He who greets with fire"

Correct Lion. Hyenas can take out a lioness with little effort. They can decimated a pride in a single evening. If not for the male lion, hyenas would be king of beasts. They fear only one creature...the male lion.

Thank you Bronze. Seems like just yesterday I was starting here....

In other exiting news, and my second (well maybe first, just don't tell Dusty) favorite moderator, Cardiwen got to give me a "like" today instead of another reprimand for my somewhat boorish behavior. I know many of you here will be shocked, but some people find my demeanor childlike, incoherent, and driven by teenage locker-room humor. I think my antics are frequently misunderstood, in the same way that Galileo was not fully understood in his time.

And for the second time tonight, No! Really?!!

Hula, OH MISS HULA!! It was Dark Horse that had the description on it. That being said, I am forcing myself to vape "wet grass" Huntsman for having offended you.. :D

Your tribute will only bring more abuse. I did try to counsel you on this matter, Dusty. But you are young and foolish and gainsay my advise with your reckless deeds....

And not without cause...

"You all did love him once, not without cause.
What cause withholds you then to mourn for him?
O judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me.
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me. (weeps)"

I gave you a like on that, but I cannot stand Adam Sandler. Now I do agree that his early work in Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison had its merits, but his recent efforts are an insult to film. For a full explanation check this out:

Precisely given voice by Mike and Jay.

I agree, my favorite Sandler film is Happy Gilmore, BMadison I didn;'t care for much at first, but it's grown on me. Your post I quoted just reminded me of that part of the movie so had to go pull it.

I haven't seen many of his newer movies, the last one I liked at all, and just a little, was the one where he was the famous stand up comic, whatever the name of it was. It was ok. I do really like Punch Drunk Love though, but Jack and Jill and Spanglish etc. just, no. Not even interested.

I find Adam Sandler to be the antithesis of funny.

That said, it is interesting how what we perceive as funny can change over our lifetimes. I used to think Three's Company was hilarious.

I did too, but I suspect that I was just itching for an excuse to watch Chrissy. Not sure though....

You know, once you get past the first 50 or so hits on Huntsman, it's ai'nt half bad.. it's far worse! My taste-buds quit for the night! :D

I joke, I joke.. it's actually a better tobacco than some of the other "tobacco" juices I've tried before. It is grassy and earthy and DRY, but there is a very subtle hint of flavour to it, that I can't quite put my finger on or a single taste-bud on.

That's Will Ferrell to me. I never came close to laughing at anything he has ever said or done.

Got some Serendipity in last week. It was amazing right off the bat, but now I'm starting to get a kind of "burnt" taste out of it. I thought it may have been my carto but my wife has it set up in a separate carto and it tastes burnt in hers too. Is this just a smokey flavor that I'm getting or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

I can't tell you from personal experience since I just got my first bottle of Serendipity and have decided to let it steep quietly for a couple of weeks. But I can tell you others have reported this, my understanding is this is just a faze it goes through let it alone for a few days or a week and it will get better again. No your not doing anything wrong.

Agreed, with only one exception: a totally unknown movie called D i c k, which is a Watergate comedy (yes) which postulates the theory that two teenage girls were actually the true identity of Deep Throat.

It was never successful but for history fans it is actually fabulous. Will Ferrell plays Bob Woodward as a blundering egomaniac which is just about right:) It also has Kristen Dunst and Michelle Williams as the ditsy girls, and veteran character actor Dan Hedaya is Nixon.

I remember a critic calling it "a cross between Clueless and All The President's Men" and that is actually pretty accurate. I recommend seeking it out.

And... the title is a censored word. Gaah.
