I can thoroughly NOT recommend watching Detachment. If you aren't 100% emotionally secure, it ain't for you, though it was very well done. Except for one brief scene near the end, it's without a doubt one of the bleakest, depressing movies ever made. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

Dead Man Walking was the most depressing movie I have seen. Good, but depressing.

Dead Man Walking was the most depressing movie I have seen. Good, but depressing.

Agree, but this one is relentless, with quite an emotional punch. Like I said, well done, but difficult to watch.

13 was also hard to watch, even more so now that I have a daughter of my own to worry about.

I haven't seen either of those, and I'm not sure I can take any more bleakness today. I may watch a comedy.

My favorite male actors of today are Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Kevin Spacey (Kaiser Soze!), Keneth Branagh, and Javier Bardem. None of the younger guys are doing it for me.

Female? Maggie Smith, Nicole Kidman, Helen Bonham Carter, Jodie Foster, and Glenn Close.

You know, never saw that but his portrayal of Johnny R Cash in Walk the Line and the emperor in The Gladiator were pretty darn good as well.

Not as beautiful as the rest of the family though, but a very good looking guy nonetheless.

Hmmm...my favorites Russell Crowe, Clive Owen, Keneth Branagh, Denzel Washington, Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins and among many other older timers John Wayne and Brian Dennehy.

I'm actually watching him in one called Detachment right now. Also, check out a foreign horror/suspense movie called Giallo (Italian for Yellow). He plays interesting parts in that.

I see all of the celebrity talk, and this probably doesn't count, but I met Charles Bronson in the 90's, he was a very nice guy. I grew up with my parents watching his movies...I can't recall the name of the series of movies he had that made him popular once upon a time....anyway, Hi everyone
