It's another day to buy flowers.. As long as you buy flowers the rest of the year what the hell buy em today also.. Women love flowers! I buy my lady flowers at least once a month so today I bought her two different kinds.. Also dinner.. AT HOME.. Normally I'd just dismiss the day entirely but I think I've been a bit harsh to my lady the past month so after our little chat last night the least I could do is make her day pretty :)

Good form, PicC. Well done, indeed.

Mine told me to cancel our reservation for this evening. She said, "tonight is amateur night, take me out for dinner and a drink or two tomorrow, I know you love me baby." A very good woman I have there.

I get your sentiments on this, Bronze. But the guys scrambling around and acting the fool should have planned better. I made an order to Strange's florist on January 16th and made a reservation to Thunderbird's Steakhouse the same day. It took me three minutes and cost me 19 dollars. Yeah, it is a made up holiday, but I need all the points I can get. To me, it is an easy way to plan ahead a little and get some credit stored up. I already set a date in my Calendar for next year to do something similar.

You know it is just a matter of time before I do something stupid, or carry a prank too far, or spend too much time at work, etc. Easy pickings have to be converted when I can. Its the smart play, in my not-so-humble opinion.

Your wife is a smart woman. I've got reservations for us for tomorrow night too, which she'll find out about later tonight when she gets home from work! and I had explicit orders from her not to buy her "anything more"...

I came home to the sweetest card from her and Chloe with 1 Lindt chocolate heart on top of the envelope.

Veteran move, Dusty. Good form. This way, when we take our road trip to Houston they will forgive us!

I do something similar, however, Mrs. Chak likes plants more than flowers. we go out almost every week to get gardening stuff or new plants. I'll have to put some pics up here and in my profile. Maybe this weekend. But yeah, we don't do anything special on VD (except try to avoid it.) (pun intended) :D

I see your point there, my dad used to tell us, It only takes One 'Ah, :censored:' to wipe out 10 'Atta-boys'. VDay is a good way to score a couple positive points. ;)

I agree Lion. The brownie points need to be stocked up when you can get them. I was just stating a fact. Sad, but true. :)

As for me, I gave my sweet little neighbor girl a giant chocolate chip muffin and I signed her cast. She broke her arm on Sunday and she's in her permanent cast now. Poor child! :(

Oh I agree with you wholeheartedly. I am sorry to hear that your semistep daughter is hurting. Nice touch though in comforting her.

Walked out this morning, I don't believe what I saw.
A hundred-billion bottles, washed upon my shore.
It seems I'm not alone, at being alone.
A hundred billion castaways, looking for a home.

I'll send an SOS to the world,
I'll send an SOS to the world,
I hope that someone gets my,
I hope that someone gets my,
DF in a bottle...oh

We have a difficult time with Valentines Day. Our anniversary is the 13th so we usually do nothing the 14th. This was our 35th anniversary.

Congratulations...we'll be 33 years in September and I have to say it seems like yesterday we got married. I really feel sorry for couples who are together and just don't have any fun or anything in common. Sure we fight...we work and live together, but that just gives us a good reason to make up;)

I think you are on solid ground, my friend. You need no advice from me if you have navigated that relationship for 35 years. Congratulations.

Nice! Long term relationships. Love that. I know my current husband and I would have made that. Let's see, married in 2000. So 35 years = 2035. I'm 53 ..... it's doable! He is 4 years older than I am.... It is totally doable :) Just have to make sure we live long enough. :) Ages in the 70's are a lot easier to get to these days :D
