Went to Lowe's and found a $2923 solution to my old mower problems-
a Husquevara zero-turn mower. Everyone says I'll love it, but I already don't like the price. My older stepson has had the same model for three years now and absolutly swears by it, his opinion probably steered me into this.....

If something happens to it, tell him to get it fixed for you ;)

I had a four year warranty with at-home repairs added on, part of why it cost more.
Lowe's has a 10% Veteran discount, but I was told I'd have to have a current VA picture ID. I explained to them the day after the Marine Barracks were bombed in Beruit Lebanon in 1983 my division was shipped there overnight to 'regain control' of the situation.
"Isn't that enough ?" I asked. I got my discount, saved 260 bucks. Still made my Visa cry for mercy

Not a good day. The lawn mower that I've been wrestling with all spring died. And I mean D-E-A-D. This time I think it's in the wiring, although when turning the motor by hand it's a little too easy until it suddenly stops. $1200 for same model clunker, or $1600 for a Lowe's model JohnDeere ( which a real Deere Dealer won't touch). This sucks. And the lawn, or at least 3/4ths of it, hasn't been mowed in two weeks already. Time to go burden the credit card- again. Didn't really need this expense.....
Although mamaw just hollered supper's ready. That's a good thing !

I just "gave" away a 1987 Murray 36" lawn tractor. I was still using it though I did replace the 11.5hp engine with a 12hp engine a number of years ago. Sucker smoked badly but it ran and was a great way to dispose of my used oil, aka - burn it.

Nice thing about being a mechanic is you can Frankenstein a lawnmower together. :)

Gandalf.....GANDALF! G A N D A L F ...oh. Did I say "Gandalf?..... How about gandalf ...or even hboebmg (code for Gandalf). This is a juice so many people are swooning over. A relatively new kid on the block, Heather is already reaching "angel music" status and has magic that she sprinkles when it comes to making signature liquids, and the ones I've tried are wonderful. Especially wonderful is Ga.....OK, enough already! LOL

I believe Gandalf is now named "legend" in her array of juice for purchase. someone correct me if I'm wrong please

Phew! Happy Saturday... I have completely sanitized my home from my lovely sick daughters. I started to feel rundown last night so I spent the day washing everything that was used this week (all pillows, bedding, backpacks, dishes etc..) then vacuumed and mopped, along with wiping everything down with Virex wipes I borrowed from work EVERY TOUCHABLE surface... you may think counters and doorknobs.. I think that as well as the condiments in the fridge, the handle to the vacuum etc... If I get sick now, it's not from a lack of trying not to.

While doing all this I spent time pondering my vaping career. When does it end? Does it need to? What were my goals with it? Am I to be a lifer on low to 0 nic? or slow down the current nic and only use it occasionally? be done with it completely? I am pretty sure I'm in the "be done with it completely" group. Eventually..

Anyway. Sick girl #1 is better, #2 is getting there. I have dodged it so far...

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Congrats on sanitizing the house!!! :D And good for you for having a goal with your vaping future. I think I fall more into the "lifer" group with vaping, as I just love "smoking" which has now translated to loving vaping. :vapor: But I know that isn't the case for everyone. I do hope that when your stash runs out that if you do quit vaping, you will continue to hang out here with all of us.

If there's no ashtray, it's called a "power port". 12v DC car power port adapters. That's what my 9 year old car has...

I had to go and check, I was curious.

FYI: You would have a difficult time getting a cigarette lighter element to heat up in a power port without holding it in and guessing whether it was heated up. Power ports do not have the metal retainer to hold the element against the center post of the socket. A minor point maybe but knowing the difference could be helpful.

I knew that, only because I tried. One of many smoking related aggravations, and rather dangerous.

I've wanted to use that attachment so many times. Learning is fun! Thank you!
