Exciting news today.. I just got a job offer for an office much closer to home! I meet with the Dr. on Friday to discuss it. I'm scared! Have been commuting for 10 years, 80-90 miles round trip. I can't even imagine only being 15 minutes from home. My boss/dr won't be happy (if I take it) but hopefully he'll understand.

I understand fuel costs. Now that I am not driving around I will not be spending $150+ a week on gas. This week it is 3.56 a gallon in Newnan. My wifes Scion Xb gets 32mpg and we were driving it for the last 4 weeks. Fuel costs dropped to about 1/2. I will be selling the Ranger soon. It has 545,000 miles on it, a lot for a 2000 model.

That is So Cool, Bridget, ought to save ya a lot of time and money and hopefully, better pay! :toast:

Not to take away from your glory, but I also received a letter to go in for an interview for a new position at a nearby Uni. I know what you mean about having butterflies in the stomach.

Hope you get the job Chak.

Dark Horse is steeping after being open for several days.

New to vaping, no/damaged taste buds? ;)

Beats me, the guy appears to have vaped just a long as me. Not that long haha. But I have certainly no problem tasting the HHV deliciousness. :)

Me either but I gave up doubting people's reviews a long time ago. I don't care for any of the Ahlusion flavors (I tried 12 of them) and there are people who think I'm nuts.

Yeah, but it still annoys my when someone comes with blanket statements like "Their juices are simply not good". Grr. And claims it might be clever marketing and trends. Kinda comes off as "clever" trolling to me.

I've been vaping for just over 3 weeks now and have NO problems tasting the deliciousness either. I agree that this seems like some trolling to me. Not sure why someone would want to discredit such a great product. Guess some people just have no taste (pun intended :D).

Hi,

I filled my tank on monday .... Here, in France, gas is around 1.60 € per liter. That is around 8$ per gallon. Taxes are overkill.

Yes they (Joplin) did - and not only that, they were the first to offer team support for Moore. My niece had her house flattened; she had gone out that day and the neighbors were scared stiff that she was underneath it all.

Amen. Salt of the earth is right. Good, honest, hard working people who will do anything for a friend, neighbor or even a stranger.

Even though I was born and raised in Oklahoma, let me also give a shout out to the people of Joplin, Missouri. I was up there a week or so after their big tornado. The devastation was mind boggling. People couldn't even find the rubble of their own homes because all street signs and other landmarks had been wiped off the face of the earth. (Imagine trying to find your house among the rubble of other homes when all buildings, trees and landmarks were completely gone.)

But despite all that, they asked for no help or assistance. They simply rolled up their sleeves and went about the business of rebuilding their city. And none of the local businesses raised prices despite shortages of building materials and other necessities. My hat is off to Joplin, Missouri.

:offtopic: Been getting back into my reading...something I haven't done a lot of in a few years, which is a few years too long. I was always an avid reader. And Stephen King is my favorite. I have 75 of his books, my only collection worth speaking of really. I've been in his book club for decades and get his books very cheap. Bivie, his new stuff is more akin to his older stuff. Not that crazy stage of writing he got lost in that you said you didn't like that much. And I fully agree with your assessment. But I'm really enjoying his latest books. Reading calms me down. And with my new work hours and summer bringing on less responsibility as far as less to do with my son and school and whatnot, I have more time. Just finished up a short story. He's weird but I like weird.

Just read an article that said Alabama leads the way with the most violent tornadoes since 2007. Scary stuff.

I think I'll shower and read some more. I like getting lost in a good book!

I love Stephen King books! The first book I ever read (on my time) was IT. I read it front to back with minimal breaks, I couldn't put it down.

Lately I've been reading Dan Brown. I love his books too. I need to check out his new one :)
