Hey all, just ordered some Dragons Fire 40/60, looking forward to trying it out.

A few questions. What is a good ratio PG/VG ratio. I realize that is a subjective question but generally speaking is there a "popular" zone?

Secondly, I'm big in smooth tobacco flavors. Not too bitter and certainly not too sweet. You think dragons fire from hhv is a good place to start? Anything similar to suggest from hhv?

Lastly steeping. Should I let the bottle steep for a few days, a week maybe?

I get most of my juice 50/50 blend, that seems to work well in all of my devices

Try all of the HHV NETs they are all very good and none of them are too bitter or too sweet. Dragons Fire is a great start! That's most people's favorite.

All HHV NETs need steeping time, they all get better and better the longer they go

I'm sure someone will help you out better than I can lol

PG/VG ratios are all over the place with us.

DF is pretty sweet, maybe the sweetest of the HHV tobaccos. Others that are really popular are Shadow, Heavenly Army, Serendipity, Legend, Huntsman, Pirate's Booty, and Sludge.

I'd recommend a week steeping for any of them, and longer is better for most of them. No reason to wait that long to sample them though, just bear in mind they keep getting better.

I see, thanks for the info, I'll probably be ordering more from hhv at some point.

I've tried a bunch of juices that seem to have taken on more than they really can chew. Too many complexities that end up tasting unnatural and quite unpleasant. Thats why ive been trying to find information on simple tobacco blends from respected vendors. With that said, HHV seems to be highly rated as im sure you all would agree.

You mentioned DF is pretty sweet, would you go so far as to say it's a dessert-y juice? I hope thats not the case.

Well, DF has a definite tobacco presence, but yeah, it's a little desserty. If it's too much so for you, you might try Pirate's Booty, or Serendipity, or Huntsman, they're all much less sweet. Shadow and Heavenly Army are a little desserty also, but not nearly as much as DF (to me). Legend is sweet too, but not really what I'd call desserty. And Sludge is, well, odd. Raisins and plums oh my.....

If you try Huntsman and like it, you'll probably like Dark Horse too. It's Huntsman Lite.

Just catching up...so Bronze is back and if he's been running off with April he's not sayin:laugh:

Kolect...while DF is sweeter I think you'll like it. It's hard to know what you would be comparing it to, but in my experience there have not been any HHV juices that I wouldn't vape...just some I prefer over others.

Two words... Heavenly Army. I get all mine at 50/50. Good vapor, good flavor.

I ended up getting an ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight that sped the steep time a long by about a week in 2 hours. I find that most of HHV liquids have a week to two week steep time.

I'm sure more folks will chime in here. Good luck!

Good to know. I may have been a bit impulsive when I ordered Df then.. My next order will probably be along the lines of Pirates Booty or Legend. I dont mind a little sweetness, just not when it becomes overpowering. I would try the sample pack but I dont like that im forced into a specific PG/VG ratio and nic level..

If that DF is too sweet for you, try mixing in some of your Pirates Booty. ;)

@IowaGal Thanks for the confidence in the order. I'll be sure to post my experience with it (after giving it some time to steep of course).

@icepoet I was thinking of getting Pirate's Booty next!

Also, any suggestions on steeping methods? Keep cap off for first 24 hours? Store in dark, room temp environment, shake bottle once a day.

Something along those lines?

I think Dragon's Fire is liked by all of us universally. To me it's more of a honey/syrup sweet as opposed to a dessert-type sweet. But I wouldn't be vaping it at all if it was desserty. It's definitely more tobacco. My fav is Serendipity, second fav is DF, and third is Oompa, and fourth Legend. I vape 100% VG due to a PG sensitivity and I love the gobs of vapor. I personally like 100% VG. I would vape all VG even if I wasn't allergic to PG. I think you did good by ordering DF.

I do caps off for 48hrs..shaking up a couple times a day (if I remember) then I just have a storage case I keep my juices in..I always start using the juice after the caps off session and they just improve with time. I make sure my storage case isn't in direct sunlight..but that's it other than that it's a room temp.

The more you shake the quicker it will steep. If I'm in a hurry (which I haven't been), I keep it on my desk and shake the crap out of it every time I look at it. Guess it all depends on how desperate you are. :)
