I skimmed the first one and got very bored with it. I just started And the Mountains Echoed, Khaled Hossein's latest and it's wonderful and more my speed.

Congrats on the 10 months RJ!

My next read is a draft book written by my BFF's other friend. She wanted me to read it and give it my opinion and edits if needed. We'll see. Then I have three more Stephen King books to catch up on after just finishing two the other day. Been reading a lot but I love it!

Speaking of movies.. I watched Paperboy 2 nights ago. Very dark and disturbing... has anyone seen it?

They made a 2nd one? Some mention was made of the first one somewhere the other day, and I think I am glad that I did not watch it.. just seemed weird!

No no.. that comment was for the picture with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johannson.

As for Ghost and the Darkness, I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! .. the phrase that was called out was "One Shot!". You gotta watch that movie if you have not already done so.

No you don't have to watch that movie its a bad movie about killing lions!

"Killing Lions" is a good phrase. The movie is about a pair (brothers) of Maneless Lions that terrorized the building of a section of the Kenya - Uganda railroad by killing well over a hundred workers, if I remember correctly. It is loosely based on the book, "The Maneaters of Tsavo" by Col. John Patterson, who is played by Val Kilmer in the movie. Those Lions are today displayed in the Fields Museum in Chicago.

Not all Lions are bad, but when they turn man-eater, they do have to be put down.

Based on reading a LOT of hunting and man-eater lore as I was growing up, I would surmise that the brothers were probably raised by a man-eating mother that was either too old or injured in a fight. Her lack of being unable to hunt regular prey would have led to her being a man-eater and the brothers would just have continued to kill in the way that they were raised. With the thousands of workers sleeping in tents and out in the open, it would have been a literal buffet for them.

The movie is really well done, and nothing is taken away from the stealth or the ferocity with which the Lions hunt. Yes, they die in the end, but they were portrayed beautifully through the movie.

So, after using my Vamos in the evenings I'm spoiled. My Twists during the day are not doing it for me any more. The Vamo creates this thick fluffy vapor and my Twists are OK but it's not the same. Maybe my Twists are getting old. So now I think I'll start bringing my Vamo to work. It's just so darn BIG! Next thing you know I'll have a Provari! :D

And is anyone else getting a bit tired of all this charging stuff? Between my cell phone, my son's rechargable batteries, and my e-cig gear....it's getting old. And then I think I'll just order more batteries so I'll have more on hand but then I think...no...more batteries means more charging! Whew.
