Hello and getting a little overwhelmed

I'm not sure what all I need to purchase. I started searching around the site and am worried I'm biting off more than I can chew...so to speak. I am not sure what my setup should be and I want to have enough spare parts if something needs replacing. If someone can point me to a post of "what I need" going the Kanger protank route, I would greatly appreciate it.

In general I know I need:
Battery
Kanger Mini Protank 2 glassomizers
drip tips
Kanger Protank coils
charger (usb and wall)

Are there other items I need? Well, liquid of course.
Thanks!

This is a great price for the Mini Protanks. I wish I'd gotten mine there. But they're terrific. :)

You'll need 2 batteries. I'd also suggest a 510 atomizer (1.8- 2.2 ohms) for testing new juices. They have no filler/ stuffing or wick and thus are very easy to clean if the juice is "yucky". The 510 drip tip you're buying will fit on it. One should do. Drip 2-3 drops and vape.
Everything else looks great

The first time I came to this forum was about 6 mos before I ever started posting. I set up an account and thought I have no clue what these people are talking about and never even came back. Fast forward and I set up another acct cause I couldn't remember the first one and started reading for days on end. Since then I have learned a tremendous amount. All you have to do is ask questions and in no time you will learn all you need to know.

I looked through Electronic Cigarettes, Vaping Supplies, and Tasty Juice - Vaping Me and they don't sell 510 atomizers.

I agree with klynnn & Vapoor. Ask lots of questions-- the people here are very knowledgeable and eager to help, and you'll pick stuff up quicker than you might think. I would also add this:

Watching YouTube reviews by people such as GrimmGreen and PBusardo has also been a big help to me. Even when they're talking about equipment I don't plan to get for myself, I learn a lot about vaping just from being able to see what they're talking about. :)

I am looking at buying a starter kit to keep it simple for me now and then adding to it along the way.
Sounds like I should add a 510 atomizer also, right? Should I get spare parts now also or do they take a while to run out?

That's a great kit (Mini Protanks with VV batts!) from an authorized Kanger distributor with a good reputation. You can be 100% certain you're getting authentic product. :thumb:

Each of the Mini Protanks will come with two coil heads, each with a different level of resistance (I think one is 1.8 ohms and the other is either 2.2 or 2.5 ohms-- that'll give you some practice with the VV!). These should last you at least a couple of weeks if not a good bit longer.

Still, in the spirit of promoting backups, I'd recommend getting 2-5 extra heads if they've got 'em for a reasonable price. You should have your choice, and I'd recommend 1.8 or 2.2 ohms for replacements until you know whether you have a preference and what that preference is.

It's a good kit with variable voltage- 3.3- 4.8 volts. Also includes lottsa goodies. Kanger is a reputable manufacturer.

My last word. If you have a PV "most" B&Ms will allow you to sample their juices before you buy. Finding the right juice can sometimes be frustrating. Phone ahead and ask. It's also nice to have a B&M close by in case of emergency- juice, charger, etc.
Wishing You the Very Best of Luck.
P.S. you could always sleep on it as tomorrow is Sunday.

Welcome! I'm only a little over a month into vaping, and I've learned so much already. My brother had been vaping for over 2 months when he put me on. I started with an Evod kit (as mentioned previously from others). It is a perfect starter.

One thing should be noted: buy extra replaceable atomizers (heads) early on. If (when) you fill-up your tank with a liquid that you end up not really enjoying, you'll need to wash all of the components to get the flavor out. After washing the head, you really can't use it until it drys. In the meantime you'll wanna vape, so make sure you have enough spares around to swap-out. It's taken me until the past two weeks to really get a grip on this and to think ahead of the game. Also, I started using cartomizers just today! They allow more "commitment" than an atomizer, but less commitment than a clearomizer/tank in terms of liquid usage. FYI. Good luck!
