Hi everyone!

I guess you can say I'm a newb, although I have tried a few different kinds of e-cigs. The first one I started out with was a Volcano. I used that for a short period of time, but it just didn't feel right, not enough vape. I bought that on a recommendation of a friend. My husband recently bought me an elektro to try, but unfortunately that broke after 5 pulls! While placing on the charger, the batt started smoking and there was an electrical smell? I have no idea what happened there. Lastly, I tried my sister's nuovo(not sure if that's the exact spelling) and again, not enough vape. I always end up going back to smoking .

I really want to make this transition and stop smoking, as well as my husband. I'm hoping I can get some advice on products that may work for us as I feel that vaping would work for me given the right product.

I have searched the forum and it seems like the Joye 510 maybe right for me, I have seen that recommended quite a few times. I smoke a little less than a pack a day of Newports. My husband on the other hand smokes 2 packs a day of Newports and is quite the chain smoker.

Any advice is greatly appreciated :) and congrats to everyone who has made the transition to vaping!!!

The Riva is cheaper from liberty-flights.com, and that battery lasts a really long time. Id recommend getting some high mg juice for your husband. Also dont bother messing with cartridges. its a pain and a waste of time. Id go with a drips tip , or maybe some cartomizers. You really have to make vaping as pain free as possible to stick to it.

If you're interested in heavy vapor production then the ego/riva (they are the same thing really, just rebranded) is probably the best place to start. The joye 510 makes nice vapor too, but the batteries don't last very long. If you smoked a pack a day or more i would stronger urge you to go with the ego/riva instead of the joye 510.

Hi and welcome to ECF!

I smoked for almost 27 yrs, sometimes as much as 3 PAD - but more like a bit more than 1 PAD when I actually quit. I quit analogs using a Yeti 510 that I got from AltSmoke and still use it, and love it. The vapor is awesome (I use cartomizers) and the battery life *IS* shorter than that of an eGo/Riva, however it is absolutely no issue for me (I use a PCC). My batteries last 3-4 hrs of *heavy* vaping, and they only take a little more than an hour to recharge in my PCC, so I'm never without a fresh battery.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I will be checking them all out to see what would work best. I am familiar with juice as I used that with my Volcano when I was still vaping. Talk about a money saver!!

I do have one more question...I was looking at the GLV 5 volt for my husband bc he is such a heavy smoker, do you think that would be a wise choice for more vape? I am assuming since the batt is a 5 volt that it would give a deeper throat burn?

Thank you again

Hi guys 'n girl.
I'm an italian bud livin' in Italy. I found this forum whilst I was looking for an ry4 recipe...really hard to find. I don't know if I can get some juyce somewere... I was even thinkin about ordering staight away from China (I know, but I'm not sure , we have a law that forbid importing liquid from over there). I've ordered and i'm waiting even a FA flavour (oryental 4) but they say is notthe same... I'll find out. In this forum I'm following a 3d about it, hope is the right one.

sorry for my english.
