Hey guys, I've been smoking two different rechargeable ones for the past 3 weeks. First one was Nicolite, didn't really like it, and now it's Vype - has a smoother a taste, easy to use and got a chargeable case which is quite nice. But I want to advance, and I'm not exactly sure on what to buy. Also, since I was using rechargable cartomizers, I don't exactly know how to do all the technical stuff, but I want to buy something that will be really good. My budget can go up to 100£.

Welcome uponhell.

It goes without saying (almost) that Nicolites are as good as useless and Vype is a tobacco company product that will work out more expensive then smoking, which is exactly what they want to achieve - to either keep you on the smokes, or take your money.

An 16/18mg Nicolites refill is equivalent to less than 1/2 a pack of cigarettes in Nicotine. It may 'do' 200 puffs, but that's not cigarettes.
Vype uses much stronger liquid, and Vype even kindly managed to work out how much nicotine the user would get from the product. BUT, that's not yield, that's before you vape it.

I would recommend you look at these 2 websites (I am not going to link to them right now, I can explain later....)

Vape Escape - possibly the BEST vendor in the UK. There are discounts of 10% to forum members.

Myepack - possibly the CHEAPEST vendor, if you don't consider ebay or Amazon safe places to shop - because most of it is fake.

Have a look around on there, then ask questions.

If I was buying today for a new vaper, I'd go with something called an iStick, made by eleaf. It will need a tank or cartomizers as well.

Good luck. Please don't get ripped off..... there are shops selling rubbish for huge amounts of money. :)

Thank you. I've looked up both websites and looked up specifically iStick. It looks to be ideal for the budget and for a person of my experience. What else do I need to buy with it? And could you send some videos that would help me manage through the kit?

I love using a nautilus (or mini Nautilus) with the new BVC's (bottom vertical coils) on my i Stick.

There are a few problems with regard to the iStick's circuitry (it measures mean not RMS). It is not capable of down regulating power (it is widely inaccurate, especially at lower voltages). As long as you're aware of it and don't need a battery that can output voltages between 3v and 4.2 volts, you may like it. It does go up to 20 watts (but only using a 1.1 ohm coil). The Nautilus with the BVC's works really well on it due to the coil design.

You are going to need a tank (clearomiser) to go with it. It is possible to use blank cartomisers (I like the Boge LR ones from Myepack) although mostly I put them in a carto-tank, which saves all the topping up.

Lots of experienced vapers use the Aspire mini Nautilus. I use these more than anything. Trouble is, for a new user they might be a bit mad! :)

A good beginner clearomiser is the Kanger Evod or the iClear16. Both would require the use of the adapter that comes with the iStick.

In reality, the iClear16 or iClear30S are good starter clearomisers, as although not perfect, do last a long time (a week or more) before you change the coil (atomizer replacement head). Evods are quite good, but can get leaky and need changing the coil more often.

Hello and welcome to the ECF family. As a total newbie I bought the KangerTech AeroTank it's easy to take apart and is a good vape. I also bought the Aspire Nautilus mini. I use both with my Eleaf iStick or my Vamo v5.

It can feel a bit overwhelming when you first start out but stick with it. Read all you can (on here) and Google things.

Ask questions on here, no question is too dumb or silly. Someone will come along who can help.

If I can do it, anyone can. You'll soon find your feet. Hope that helps a little.

Good luck and happy vaping. :)

If it's not too difficult for you, could you send me the links for where to get all of that stuff? To be honest, I know the theory, but I never got to the practical part, so atm it sounds complicated. Just need to get my hands doing all of that stuff.

It is complicated. I needed help every time I wanted to get/try new things.

Start here..
