Mark, any updates from the factory regarding the kit's wall/AC USB adapter and if there has been any resolution there? I would like to know if it is safe to use the one that came in the kit or not as I am not really thrilled about having to power up my Laptop every time that I want to charge my battery!
Up date on my Hurricane batt. Received the replacement that you sent on Saturday. 3.79 V out of the package. Vaped wonderfully for 3 hrs Saturday night, then 12 hrs Sunday before I got the multiple/charge me flashes. Checked voltage and sure enough 0.00V! Put on the USB charger and to my desktop/PCs USB port, not wanting to risk this battery on the supplied wall/AC supply. The batts LED flashed 3 times and chargers RED came on. Red was still on 3 hrs into the charge. Left it on the charger /PC power the full 8 hrs and still no Green light. Pulled of the USB found the voltage to be 3.95V. Vaped the prescribed 20 mins. Checked voltage to be 3.74. Returned it to the charger/PC power for the next prescribed 1hr go. Got the three Blue battery flashes but the charger light was now Green. Oddly enough, 20 minues into the charge the Red light came on. Left on the charger the full 1 hr, still no Green light, waited another 20 mins
Red light was still on when I pulled it off the charger and checked the voltage, came in at 3.74V
decided to vape anyway. Vaped 4 hrs and checked the voltage to be 3.66V. Put on the USB charger, but this time I connected to my Laptops USB port to see if that made any difference. Got 3 Blue flashes and the chargers Red light. Two hours into the charge, got the Green charger light but left on for another hour (total of 3 hr charge). Voltage was at 4.02V. Vaped 8 1/2 hours before going to bed. Got another 4 ½ hours this morning. (0.00 V when it showed the multiple flashes, but
I just happened to check the voltage just minutes before and got 3.35V). Put on the USB charger and Laptop USB combination to charge. Got the Green light after 3 ½ hrs and 4.02 V
so, after three charges, ALL IS GOOD with mine!
I know that all of my Laptop ports are USB 2.0 compliant and has been charging my batt correctly. (knocking on wood)
Not so sure about my PC ports, as I know that sometime these were/are produced with a combination of both the old 1.0 and the new 2.0 USB standard ports. Anyone think that this could be related to the issues that some are having
and what I experienced when I charged from my desktop/PC ports?
Sorry, for the long post and if this is way too much information, unless, of course, youre an engineer
LOL. But I know Mark is monitoring and continuing to track down the cause of our problems.
