Oy, indeed. I get nervous when the new toy doesn't work the way I like it to work as well. Please Q-tip out the battery connection once in a while. The reason is that whenever you have metal rubbing metal there is some fine metal that gets into the threads and makes its way into the juice in the connection. Ya' might not see it, but it's there. It'll show up on the Q-tip or tissue paper.

ok, i'm officially a super dufus. my button somehow got depressed and stuck so it wasn't working at all. now it's back out and working like a champ. from now on i'll try to figure my problems out before i post. sorry little hello...my bad. also thanks sanford for all the help!!!
So how did you "unstick" the button? Was it stuck under the battery housing and you forked it out with a pointy implement or something?

Mark, any updates from the factory regarding the kit's wall/AC USB adapter and if there has been any resolution there? I would like to know if it is safe to use the one that came in the kit or not as I am not really thrilled about having to power up my Laptop every time that I want to charge my battery!

Up date on my “Hurricane” batt. Received the replacement that you sent on Saturday. 3.79 V out of the package. Vaped wonderfully for 3 hrs Saturday night, then 12 hrs Sunday before I got the multiple/charge me flashes. Checked voltage and sure enough 0.00V! Put on the USB charger and to my desktop/PC’s USB port, not wanting to risk this battery on the supplied wall/AC supply. The batt’s LED flashed 3 times and charger’s RED came on. Red was still on 3 hrs into the charge. Left it on the charger /PC power the full 8 hrs and still no Green light. Pulled of the USB found the voltage to be 3.95V. Vaped the prescribed 20 mins. Checked voltage to be 3.74. Returned it to the charger/PC power for the next prescribed 1hr go. Got the three Blue battery flashes but the charger light was now Green. Oddly enough, 20 minues into the charge the Red light came on. Left on the charger the full 1 hr, still no Green light, waited another 20 mins… Red light was still on when I pulled it off the charger and checked the voltage, came in at 3.74V… decided to vape anyway. Vaped 4 hrs and checked the voltage to be 3.66V. Put on the USB charger, but this time I connected to my Laptop’s USB port to see if that made any difference. Got 3 Blue flashes and the charger’s Red light. Two hours into the charge, got the Green charger light but left on for another hour (total of 3 hr charge). Voltage was at 4.02V. Vaped 8 1/2 hours before going to bed. Got another 4 ½ hours this morning. (0.00 V when it showed the multiple flashes, but… I just happened to check the voltage just minutes before and got 3.35V). Put on the USB charger and Laptop USB combination to charge. Got the Green light after 3 ½ hrs and 4.02 V… so, after three charges, ALL IS GOOD with mine!

I know that all of my Laptop ports are USB 2.0 compliant and has been charging my batt “correctly”. (knocking on wood)… Not so sure about my PC ports, as I know that sometime these were/are produced with a combination of both the old 1.0 and the new 2.0 USB standard ports. Anyone think that this could be related to the issues that some are having… and what I experienced when I charged from my desktop/PC ports?

Sorry, for the long post and if this is way too much information, unless, of course, you’re an engineer…LOL. But I know Mark is monitoring and continuing to track down the cause of our problems.

Thanks for the good info whitehand..

Update from the factory is that some of the AC chargers, not all, were the incorrect model and may or may not cause charging issues. It really does seem a bit intermittent.

whitehand, your charging stuff sounds a bit weird but let's see what it does over the next couple of days and if it goes into a more normal charge cycle.. thanks again for the info. hoog.

I order hello016 kit last week 6/5 and received today 6/9 with priority shipping. Shipping is fast thanks Mark. So far the kit is awesome, lot of vapor. Been reading all 40 pages before I buy the kit The unit heavy than my V3 JS, but battery will last me whole day. I like the soft plastic switch, better than my V3 swtich. Will order couple battery as I saw it in stock now. Also do you guy know know to test battery or measure the volt, thanks for all your help.

I've been happily vaping away on my 016 for a week now and have not had a single problem with it. There is a slight issue with the button getting stuck under the housing, but it's hardly a problem let alone a deal changer. The battery has lasted me up to 2 days of pretty constant vaping (though I haven't fully drained it yet, so who knows how long it'll actually last for me) and gives me a great vaping experience. I'm glad to have started with a good device and avoided all the problems first timers have experienced that I've read about all over the forums.

Thanks Hello Tech and Mad Vapes!

I got my Hello 016 Tuesday and charged it per the instructions on my PC USB port bcs I wanted to give it the best chance to work. Vaped (moderately) from 11a until 10:30p the following day (less sleep time). Wanted to make sure it was available today, so charged it on the wall charger for 4 hours this morning even tho I never got a blinking blue light.

When I put it on the wall charger, all I got was a red light on the wall adapter and a green light on the USB adapter. Those lights stayed like that the whole 4 hours; I disconnected it and have been vaping since 11:30a., so it must have worked, right? Since I want to be able to charge it with the wall adapter, should I let the battery drain so I can get a better idea if the wall charger is working right? Does the red wall adapter light just indicate that it's ... plugged in? And the green USB adapter light indicates the battery has sufficient charge, or ... ? (I'm so e-cig tech illiterate).

So far, I'm really happy with the Hello 016. I vape less with it because I'm not all anxious about getting that last vape before the 510 dies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your assumptions are correct. The wall charger light is to indicate that it's receiving power & the usb charger will turn green when fully charged.

Not every wall charger has been reported defective. I used mine twice the first week I had it and used it once again this week and so far it's working. I mainly use my laptop for charging tho.

My brother's wall charger on the other hand only worked for the first charge. So he just plugs the usb into his laptop.
