Full kits are available so no guessing. Tips aren't included but just about any 510 tip works fine. As a bonus, the kits come with a thingy.
No joke. That's what it's called.
It's quite possibly the most ingenious, simplest priming tool ever devised.

I keep seeing people say that about the thingy but HOW exactly does it prime the carto?
My next tank is probably going to be from them so if there is a priming shortcut I would love to know it.

So I'm looking at the IBTanked brand and it's looking pretty good. I think I'm going to go with the standard 25mm or 22mm tube (those will fit on a 510 battery, right?) & I'm GUESSING you need to match up the cap size with the tube size? Like if I get a 25mm tube I need to get a 25mm cap, right? Also do I need to buy a drip tip separately? Thanks for answering all my noob questions lol I really appreciate the help.

That 25mm IBTanked is the same diameter as the above pictured Triple V tank from Valley View. Do you really want a tank that large on an ego? Choice is yours to make...

Yes, you match cap size with tube diameter. You can order a complete tank kit from IBTanked and get the tube, caps, the proper length cartomizer, and a combo tank tool/drip tip, and extra o-rings. Oh yeah, you get a Thingy to store your tank in.

Just make certain the length of the tank matches up with the length of cartomizer. Standard (35mm) or XL (45mm).

The thingy is so simple, but so darn effective. It's a plastic tube with a tight screw-on top that causes rapid changes in air pressure that forces juice into your carto while forcing the air out. Just insert the carto into the tank, fill using the included filling tool, then put it into the thingy. Screw on and unscrew the lid quickly and keep doing it until air bubbles no longer come out of the punch holes. Remove your tank, top it off and BINGO! A perfectly primed carto tank.

Do I need to buy anything else other than the kit that includes the tube & cap? Like I can just buy that stuff and screw it on a 510 battery?

The kit, a drip tip (or use the filling tool as a tip) and your juice. That's all ya need. Maybe a thread cone/cover to dress things up a bit...

My next tank is probably going to be from them so if there is a priming shortcut I would love to know it.

You put an fully assembled and filled tank (with carto) inside the Thingy. Open and close the cap of the Thingy several times. You will notice tiny air bubbles leave the holes in the carto. This indicates that juice is going into the cartomizer from the tank.

This system of priming the carto "does work", however it must be considered a "blind method". You really can't tell how much liquid is actually entering the carto; it's a guess. Too much juice = flooded carto. Too little = dry hits.

After trying the Thingy method, I've returned to using my previous method of filling the cartomizer (drip and shake method, with a tooth pick in the carto air hole). I can actually see how saturated the filler is with this method. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Your results may vary from mine. Many IBTanked users use the Thingy and get great results. Try the Thingy method and see if it works for you.

Clearomizer right?

Would you say they are better than carto tanks?

I have never used a carto tank. But, I have used most if the popular clearomizers. The clearos just sounded like they would be easier to deal with, easier than carto tanks at least. So, I jumped into clearos head first.
