I just pulled my cotton yarn head out and popped in my last factory 2.8 head. I must say, nothing lasts like the silica wicks. I like the idea of cotton if I have the time to rewick ever 2 or 3 days but with Sandy's recent visit (I'm in NJ) I just haven't had the time. I did just order 15 more ft of silica wick, so I will be taking a break from the cotton for a while.

The GV Flux butterscotch is really awesome. I'm back and forth between that and VZ's banana cream pie. The SF is still a really good device, hopefully they will make it great. Like the VN recent tanks.

Glad you made it back on line after Sandy! Hope you are OK!

Not good, I just filled it and it's time to head to work.
So I check the head, did not seem to be loose but it must have been as I unscrewed it just a bit then tighten it and now I get 2.3
Crank up the Lavatube to 3.4 and take a hit.
Wow
Very good flavor, nice warm vape.
So over the next 12 hours I have been using it and love it.
Not one leak.
Not one dry hit, not even chain vaping it hard at one point tonight when my computer at work locked up at the wrong time.
Strong flavor, better then the Vivi Nova, it just taste better.
Seems to give a better hit of nic then the nova does.
Note this is stock 2.4 heads on both comparison.

I cranked it up to 3.6 then 3.9, I stopped at 4.2
Still no burnt taste but the vape is stating to get to warm for me.
I just about drained the tank in 12 hours at work and I think I have vaped less then I would with the nova.
The SplitFire seems to drink a lot of Juice.

I can see where replacing the heads could be a pain, you have to feed the 4 wicks into the 4 holes and the best way to fill it is going to be using a syringe.

I still like the Vivi Nova but I like the splitFire just a bit better.

O and I seem to be able to blow thicker smoke rigs using the SplitFire Vs the Vivi Nova.

Shadowfax is really good in one.
I love it when I see these work ups. Well done and thank you :D

Howdy Z_Ghost! Hi Adrena! Dang I hate waiting on the mailman... got Splitfires on the way along with some HHV juices - the Novas came in last week so we can do a comparison soon.

I am still loving the vape from the SplitFire's. But there is one issue you need to address with the factory. The 510 threads on the base are very very very sloppy. So sloppy that the slightest bit of over tightening and either the thread on the unit will be trashed, or the thread on the battery will get damaged. All four of mine have this issue. You need to be extremely careful when putting them on a battery. As is, they are barely hanging on and I imagine a tip over or drop will render the base thread or the battery to become unusable. Other than that they are still awesome.

I never realized that Wally  I had gotten into the habit of using an adapter and just leaving it in my pv's all the time for what ever tank I was using. I figured it would help keep my pv threads from getting ruined no matter what I was using. Kind of an old crazy woman idea but it made sense to me at the time  I still do that.

I had the same thought recently but the adapter does come out with the tank in my case.

I use adapters as well, but the point is we should not have to protect our hardware from sloppy factory threads by having to use an adapter. Maybe it's the life long machinist in me, but this topic really irks me. There is no acceptable excuse for any sloppy threading on anything. Speaks tons and tons of no quality control.

There isn't a lot of quality control in China......

My feedback on these -

- Great, pure flavor on stock 2.4 and 2.8 heads @ 4.0 volts, and 4.6 / 4.7 volts, respectively on both a Provari, and a Smok VV gripper.
- Clouds of vapor.
- No issues with my 1st one, had dry hits on the other. Solution has been lifting the wicks.

- Suggestions : Longer wicks on the head units would help, as you could trim them to length.
It seems like the holes on the problem unit are smaller by .0005 of an inch than the holes on the one that's working well. Better QC on the machining, perhaps? Overall, a solid product, but the one troublesome unit means spending another 15+ dollars in the hopes of receiving one that works as it should.
