2 out of 3 of mine wont work at all anymore. I noticed they weren't firing well, changed heads and still nothing. They won't screw into the batteries and even with an adapter won't work or fire at all anymore. I'm very sad about it as they were the only tanks I was using. Now I'm back on the Nova's:(

I guess I'll hold off for version 2 if there are so many quality issues. I don't know how I managed to get a good one.

No need to ignore them. That was not the intent of my post. I LOVE THEM. The only issue on mine are the base threads. Other than that they are awesome. Just ordered a fifth one today.

I have not had one head or coil issue. In fact I put one of the heads in a full size nova and it still works beautifully. Had to do a tad of he man tightening of all threads to get a connection on the vivi, but well worth it.

The center post can move on the Splitfire. If it isn't working, remove the tank and push down slightly on the center post. That should give you contact again.

Ok I'll try that,I noticed that both the posts were a little tweaked off to one side, I'll try pushing them down a bit.

Sorry to say it sounds like you got some bum threads too on the 510 connection if you can't get them to grab in the batteries. I'm still babying mine and being very careful with the tightening.
Maybe bad can suggest having them send some properly threaded bases as replacements. It would be a shame if they do not since these things are a sweet setup.

I think I did, funny enough is only 2 out of the three and I'm very, very disappointed as these give me the absolute best vape ever, and now that I've been spoiled I don't like the Nova's as much:(
I was able to get one of my tanks to work again by following flintlock's advice above. I was so excited when I got the one to fire, but so sad when the other one wouldn't. But 2 out of 3 working is a lot better than 1 out of 3 working:D
Thanks for the advice flintlock!
Wally do you just leave your in adapters now?I noticed a lot of people said that's what they always do...I'm wondering if I shouldn't start using my adapters?

I use whatever they seem to hang onto the best. They are very loose in the adapters also. I had one pop out of my Gripper twice last night. Just laid it on the seat in the car.
When they are totally hopeless to screw in to anything I'll probably sacrifice a couple 510 extenders. Screw them on the best I can and then I'll crimp the out side of the extender with a pair of pliers. Hate to waste my extenders but for the mean time it's a half ars solution til this can be addressed more permanently.

I've got all mine working again, I had to just keep messing with the post on the last one until it finally started firing again. Now I'm scared to unscrew them from my devices, but I'm glad they're all working again:D I could see using some 510 adapters and crimping them on,I would rather do that then quit using the tank.

A little SplitFire FYI.
Put a new head on a SplitFire today. Ohms read 2.4 on ProVari. Vaped it for about 5 minutes and it went to LO Ohms. Upon unscrewing the top and pushing the fire button I could see a slight arc between one side of the coil and the cup. It shifted a bit on its own. Used a pair of tweezers and moved it away from the offending cup side and all is back to normal. Wanted to throw this out there in case you think you have a bad head. Don't be too quick to toss it. It may need to be nudged over if it's just shorting on the cup.
Vape on.

I have been doing some flavor testing as of late on various hardware. The winner by miles is the Splitfire. I have not used anything else that can even come close to the vapor and flavor on these.
My favorite juices on nova's, T3's, PBC's, Eternity, Stardusts, Hyper SRT's. etc.

My favorite juices in a SplitFire with a 2.8 head at 4.0V-4.2V, priceless.......

Today I'll receive a Birkshire CLR and some 500 mesh. When I get that cookin, I'll see how that compares. But in all honesty I do not see how you can get a denser more flavorful, warm but not hot vape like I am getting with the SpliFire. The only downside, if you can call it that, is my juice consumption has skyrocketed. But I am also getting more satisfaction out of lower nicotine juices.:2c:

Well just put my Birkshire together with some 500 mesh. Rolled solid, no hole in the center. Ehhhhhhh. SplitFire still wins.
I'm not that experienced with mesh but it seems like it's overwicking. Very low vapor production at the moment. 2.6 ohm coil glowing perfectly but it just seems like it takes too long to get hot enough to vaporize. Too much mesh? stealing the heat? Seems like it. I either have to crank the voltage way up or fire it for a very long time. Then it starts sounding like a popcorn maker. To much effort for me. It'll sit in the corner till tomorrow and for now I'll just keep enjoying my SplitFires.

I've been reading this thread with interest, sounds like a great product. Could anyone tell me which adapter I would get for my vamo? I'm assuming one of these? Thanks. NEW 510 Mini Extender 6.5mm - With SPACER [gotvapes-510MINIextender-adapter] - $3.99 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

mokai, It should work fine on the VAMO. All you need is the 510 connection on your PV. The adapters are mainly being used because a handful of the SplitFires have very sloppy threading. The adapter is not mandatory, it is more insurance to help protect the threading on your PV. Any adapter will do. 510 extender or 510 to Ego. Better to ruin threads on an adapter and not your PV. Hopefully the quality control on the threading will be addressed on future runs, because I really love these things. They are taking 90% of my daily vaping usage. I currently have 5 in rotation now with different flavors and just ordered number 6 last night. Magic yellow works the best.:) Smoke is a nice look too but you have to order that color tube seperately.
How do you like your VAMO?
