When you pull on an E-ciggarette, does it have the same "throat burn" as if you were dragging on a real ciggarette?

And if you were to get the filter with no nicotine would you still have the throat burn?

Also, I am looking at getting the M402 Ultra Black...thoughts/suggestions on which e-ciggarette to purchase...keep it under $100 please....

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please respond and help me out! :D

From what I've read and experienced, the 'throat burn' isn't dependant on nicotine strength but on the liquid composition itself. I have 4mg liquid that gives me more burn than the 12mg. It can also depend on how you vape. If I draw into my mouth first and then inhale it's a stronger sensation.

lol I get like that a 2am when Im out of e-juice :) Im a newbie to this vaping as well, but I have tried the mouth hold trick and your right that does seem to work. Its the thickness of the vapor not so much the throat kick for me personally. Oh and a really strong nicotine content to make my brain bleed. :) 40 plus a day man.... Come on postie deliver in the morning Im going insane.

hehehe... I was reading that as I typed and thought the same thing. But I don't know how else to explain it :) There is a method I swear!!

I get what your saying, you mean the difference between sucking it straight back like a fiend versus savoring it in the mouth for a second and then pulling in hard to inhale.

Unless you want to spend your time topping up carts and charging batteries I would recommend a larger pv as a starter model. For under a hundred bucks there are plenty to chose from.

A great starter set:

Joye 510-C Kit -- $50
5 extra blank carts -- $6
Extra atomizer -- $15
30ml e-liquid -- $20
S&H -- Free - $6
*You could search for better deals from individual suppliers on some items, or get all of them from one -- and still stay under a hundred. You'll spend more later. :)

I have nothing against the 401-402 models, but for starting out you will have a much rewarding experience with the above.

Everyone draws into the mouth, or perhaps you have another method :)
Just teasing :)

I thought that myself till recently one of my co workers was out smoking with me, and he took a drag and it burnt up a good portion of his cigarette! It was almost painful to watch, almost like he was smoking a "J" and trying to get every bit he could. Only he was smoking a Newport, and I instantly felt terrible for his throat and lungs. Ouch!

I've been vaping since the end of January, and I'm still not quite sure exactly what causes the "throat burn" (or "throat hit," as most here call it). Some members have reported getting throat hits from zero nicotine liquids. (I'm not one of them. Thus far, I've been utterly unsuccessful in getting a throat hit from zero nic liquids.)

For me, higher nicotine concentrations generally give a better throat hit, but it's not only the nicotine because there are some higher nic solutions that give me no throat hit at all. Three months, and I'm still experimenting. :)

For me, the two devices that provide me with the most reliable throat hit and harsher vapor are the Janty Dura-C and the Screwdriver. The Janty Dura-C is basically a Joye 510. The branded Janty version (Dura-C) costs more than the standard Joye 510 but it comes with an awesome warranty.

Consistent throat hit requires a 1000mAh battery or more and a manual switch where you push a button and heat up the atomizer as long as you want. The auto switch devices which are the majority have a cut-off on the battery if you inhale longer than about 5 seconds. Two of the bigger battery/manual switch devices that are favorites on the forum are the Screwdriver and the Zi Moshi. I have the Screwdriver and I get good throat hit hour after hour and the batteries last 7-8 hours. And unlike most devices, the batteries cost $3 instead of $14-$19. Here are some links that might help:

Here is a poll of members favorite devices:

PS: I agree with Julie that higher nic juice also contributes to better throat hit.

I have a friend who will take any cigarette you give him marb, camel, newport, whatever (not 100's) and he can smoke it in 2 drags at the most, he doesn't do this often I've hung out with him for 4 years now and have seen him do it 4 times but when you said that guy smoked it like a "j" I immediately thought of my friend. I still need to get a video of him doing that and put it up on youtube

Just teasing " <<< I'm still laughing over that lol

I have a pilot m401 and a TW 901... When everything is running smooth on my 901 its a really good vapor experience and you dont have to fiddle with your care as much..However, everything taste so much better in my pilot.. The juice is just a lil more present in flavor, clarity, and sweetness... That's important to me considering my taste buds were lost in an analog war of mass destruction lol

ok keel, where ya get one of these? >

( and cosican, if youre reading this...I blame you for making me want one of these too lol )

"Consistent" is the operative word.

Yes, I forgot to add that you are nothing, if not consistent. To the point of nausua.

As I've said before, not to you wv, but maybe you didnt see it: I couldnt care LESS about ECF user polls, or "whats your favirote e-cig" stories or links! It really means nothing to me, or anyone else not wishing to vape on an e-cig that was made in your kitchen by power drills and 12 volt battery packs. Thats all Im saying.
Lets not forget, the "clear majority" also thought the Titanic was unsinkable. But carry on...
My best,
-VP
