Higher power cigarette scale device?

I am involved with a community theater, and I want to do some e-pipes for an upcoming production. For one idea, I just took a old-style e-cig (because of its small size) and stuck it into a corn cob pipe bowl. It worked quite well though, I would prefer something with more output. I know I can just buy lower ohm cartomizers, but I don't know how low I can go, and not blow the electronics in the e-cig battery.

All the higher power stuff I see is both larger, and has a manual button, rather than the automatic switch. For the corn-cob version, I definitely need it to be automatic. I had looked at one kit, I think it was the Joye Tech eRoll PCC. However, I was hesitant both due to the cost, and the fact that I could not use any of its components with the other e-cig related parts that I have accumulated over the years. However, it fits the bill, in terms of its small size, automatic switch, and greater wattage (3.7v with 2.2 Ohm atomizer)

Is there any other cigarette-sized e-cig that has better performance than an old-style e-cig?

For a theater piece designed for effect I might just refill whatever carto you are using with straight VG like a fog machine. Flavor will be mildly sweet and it would burn the coils out after a couple of hours of constant use but for a few puffs on stage it would defiantly make visible vapor. You would have to test it, but cig-alike batteries aren't meant for low res atomizers and you have referred to the batteries as old style so I assume small. Small batteries are bad news when building coils that you want to make lots of vapor with. And wiring a button on the pipe and building something sounds like something your trying to avoid.

Thanks for the reply. I have already been using Glycerine. I have pretty much come to the same conclusion you have, but was hoping there might be some alternative I was not aware of.
