Hit it or Quit it - Banana Pudding (SR)

I did a review of this already, but I have to do it again! I got (for me) the perfect set up that just made it all POP.

Steep: Apprx 1 week
Atty/Build: TOBH V2 Brass, twisted 30G micro coil @1.2 ohms Braided Ceramic (XC_116 or RediXwick)
mod: Turtle Ship with fresh VCT 4
Tasting notes: Sometimes the planets align and everything just works! I was rewicking some of my atty's and trying out some twisted wire. I had gotten a new TOBH to match my brass mods and decided to wrap a twisted coil and wick with the ceramic to see if it made any difference. WOW did it! The banana is perfect. I get just enough 'nilla wafer with tiny caramel notes in the pudding part. Now I may just be getting carried away and imagining but I swear I get a bit of the whipped cream. I know I've been going on and on about the XC-116, but in all seriousness it lets you taste a spectrum of flavors. You get notes you didn't notice before. I could vape this all day in configuration. And I can't even tell you how yummy the BSP is in this set up.

OT question: what drill bit do you use for wrapping coils and what diameter xc-116 do you use? Looking to try some.

2mm wick and a 2mm. bit, which is 1/16th approximately. If you have trouble inserting wick, then snip the end diagonally into a point the just twist the wick til it goes through. I just ordered some of the 3mm to see if I like it better.

2 mm is actually closer to 5/64 drill bit. 1/16th is 1.5875 mm. Would you use 3 mm in the 2 mm wrap?

I just want to make sure i get the right size. I'll get a foot to try.

If you usually wrap micro coils then get the 2mm if you want to build the coil first then insert the wick. If you're wrapping the wire around the wick like you would with silica, then try the 3mm. I was pretty sure I had used the 1/16th with the 2mm but I might have used something a little bit larger. I usually will wrap coils with my smaller drill bits but I might have used a small screwdriver. It's easy enough to use the 2mm. so I would say try that first.

I use a straight needle, paperclip or hex screw (that came with one of these RDAs. Insert it thru the wick; wrap coil.

I mount coil with whatever I used still inserted until it's attached.

I'm not a fan of the 3mm Readyx Wick. Too thick.

Gonna try the 3mm in my Kraken, the 2mm works but it's a teeny bit loose, if it doesn't work then I'll just use it on my drippers with some 24gauge macros.

My order of 2 x 50 mls each of 12 mg BSP and BPuddin' arrived Saturday...I couldn't resist trying them and both are fantastic. I'm putting 2 of them away for a month or so. With the BP I taste the banana, vanilla and custard on the inhale with a faint taste of cookie on the exhale. Very tasty, but will definitely benefit from more steeping. The banana taste is still maturing, but will be more natural once it's aged. What blew me away was the free sample of Bedrock that was included in my order. I'm not big fan of fruit e liquids, but LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff!! I've only tried the dessert flavors but am going to have to venture out of my comfort zone and check out some of the others. Amazing mixologist...who knew?!

Didn't really get the pudding or 'nilla wafers, but I may have been running it too hot. Next weekend I will try with a 1.5 ohm build to try it a little cooler. I'm also gonna try it with the PBC, that sounds killer. For a young juice I think you have a winner! Time will tell...
