Well, I re-coiled a Spheroid and re-visited Da Bird last night. The results...

I ordered 2 more 50ml bottles today. Please let us know whenever this SR is about to end - I may need to stock up on some for the loooong winter and holidays.

When I re-did my coils I changed three things which made a big difference.
1) 28ga > 30ga A1 Kanthal
2) 7-8 wraps of 28ga @ 3mm ID > 5-6 wraps of 30ga at 2mm ID
3) 2mm silica > 2mm organic Walgreens cotton

The Hummingbird really woke up. What was very good before was intensified into truly great now. I think I was having wicking issues before and just wasn't aware of them. I'm now getting the satisfying clouds others wrote about alongside more intense flavor. This could be an ADV for me (I usually do no more than 3ml a day, so me using the term ADV needs to be taken with a grain of salt). I've been alternating this with the new Romantic Raspberry and they compliment and transition into each other pretty well - they taste similar and scratch the same itch, but they don't seem to overlap and prevent you from tasting the other when switching over due to taste/flavor blindness.

RR + Da Bird would actually be a great mix (haven't tried this one yet, but I am definitely going to add it to "the list") Great build info and feedback XJ!~

Steep time: Fresh

Nic Level: 6mg

Tank/Atomizer: R91 and IGO-W

Mod: Provari

Thoughts/Tasting Notes: Wow, this juice is excellent! The Bird is high in the clouds, and my first high-VG juice. Dripping is the way to go with Hummingbird. In an IGO-W (single 1.5 Ohm coil, cotton wick) the flavor is very well pronounced, flowery lychee on the inhale, slight tart cranberry sweetness on the exhale. But it is fragile. I found with the Kayfun types, wicking is a serious problem. Surely this is my inexperience making wicks for high-VG juice, but the second hit I faced the wrath of burned cotton. The first hit is excellent with a R91 (1.7 Ohm, cotton), much more lychee, almost tastes like roses, and very little cranberry, but the second hit is nasty burnt cotton. Yikes! So, I'm sticking with the dripper on this one, and keeping the wick saturated with a drip or two every other pull.

Welcome to the NuT house McC! I think you are spot on - dripping Da Bird is the way to go!!
