I received two extra screws, but the are the same as the four that came on there and fit the tiny alen it came with. Those things are very very
tiny. I don't think it was supposed to come with a drip tip. I sure wasn't expecting one and didn't get one.
I've only been up and running about an hour but I'm not regretting the buy. Awesome flavor and clouds. This is a very very different beast than I am used to so I need to spend some more time getting familiar. The little weirdisms I'm wondering about I think will go away when I'm used to it. Like I think it's weird that no part of the base can be gripped from the side, I ended up having to unscrew the top off so it was down to just the base to get it off my
mod the first time. But after that I got the Hobo together tighter, and didn't put it as tight on the
mod and haven't had that issue since. Sure those screws are crazy ridiculously tiny...but you don't take them out. Ultra tiny allen I didn't have any problems with and have all my vape gear together so although annoying that's just what it is. Shouldn't have a prob keeping up with it. It's tiny enough I didn't want to crank down the screws, that's prolly a good thing. Was a bit finicky/tight getting it apart the first time, but it's fine now. I get it and the pop off pieces pop a lot easier. I forgot who said you had to drip through the drip tip.... nah pop off the outer top. I unscrew the viking and that never erked me. Leak proof claim though.... I'm not buying it.
I'm almost to 4 months
vaping, a bit under 3 months with rebuildables, and my only other dripper is the viking with much less airflow. My two RTA's are Erlkonigins. Therefore I do not have much experience or very broad experience. The airflow is much much much more on this, so it's a very different vape than I am accustomed to. I have the top holes all the way closed and the coil holes barely open, maybe 20%. It's still at about the mouth to lung limit for me and I'm doing some lung hits too. Again, it's just what I know.
Vertical build was easy enough to get on there, even for this noob. Will probably tweak position a bit to line up with the tiny opening I have going better than what would have been the middle of the opening if I had it going full blast. Legs are a lot longer than the viking so I ended up higher than I was aiming. 6 wrap 30awg dual coil .8 ohms CCrayon. Even with that higher build though I'm fogging up the room and yummy yummy. You want it scary close to the screw on top portion when you are screwing, when it's screwed all the way down the coil will be at the slot so no short.
Bottom line the vape is very very good; that is the #1 criteria for me. For me, I think the isms are not really going to be problems as I get used to this thing. It's a lot different than what I've used thus far, so that's good for me. I'm really looking forward to spending some more time and learning. I thought the .8ohms was going to be weak, it would have been lacking on the viking but it's not on the Hobo. Excellent, plentiful, strong, moist vape. I'm really curious what .6 and .4 is going to be like.
Oh and looks fabulous on the SS papsX. I'm a happy vapor enjoying my hobo.
