@mjag Where did you find the iJoys? As I mentioned a few times, I went with Basen for now but that was partially because I had to order a ton of 18650s as well and it was just easier to go through one place (Liion).

Ed: also, agreed. I like high wattage too but 101 is allllmmooosssttt there for me. Forgetting about the fact it's a single battery, if it were a 120W mod in this casing I'd be set for life. It's not, though, so the wrecker is probably also a bit more my speed but boy I am LOVING the slice.

I really hope your order from that linked place goes well for your sake, and so I can immediately get another Wrecker.

I got my Ijoy 26650 from Liion, I only buy from them or that other place that sells legit batteries. I only got 1 though and use Basens as well which I feel are good enough unless you really want to push it.
If you are buying new batteries then I would suggest the ijoys but if you already have basens then I think your fine.

Yeah we do already have the Basens and don't plan on pushing them too hard, but I'll keep the iJoys on my list. I can't remember if Liion didn't have the iJoys at the time I ordered or if I just didn't realize they were OK... not exactly a company I would typically associate with great batteries. Thank you!

Thanks for your input , ddirtyvapes and Mjag! I almost never Vape above 50 Watts , using a .5 ohm stainless steel build in XXX mode. I think I just may have to pick up the G2 , if for nothing else than to satisfy my curiosity dot dot dot or more accurately, because I haven't bought a new mod in a while !

I can second, mjag, your opinion about the iJoy 26650... I regularly alternate them with the Basen and seem to get a bit better performance out of them. Also got mine at Lion

Dang! I really didn't order that long ago so now I'm a bit bummed lol. But it's no big deal, I'll pick up a pair of iJoys in the not-too-distant future but there's clearly no harm in using the Basens the way we use our mods, for the time being. Neither of us are pushing it so I'm sure it's no problem.

@mjag I kind of assume by "the other good place" you mean IMR, but if not I love them too. They just didn't have the Basen and since I was unaware of the iJoys, I went to Liion (who do have slightly better prices but IMR is really good about sending cases.) IMR does have the iJoys.

edit: @jesem based on your vaping style I do think you'd be totally fine with a second Hohmslice IF anything falls through on the Wrecker, just if it somehow doesn't work out. I would never discourage you from getting an awesome mod for an awesome price though, and vaping like that just means you would get great battery life on a Wrecker. It just won't do anything your Slice doesn't do beyond that and more power, but that's definitely not a negative when the slice is so good and the extra wattage and batteries are nicebonuses, to be sure.

The Hohmslices have been removed entirely from the Vaporcube website, at least for now :( Glad I got mine just in time. Now I REALLY hope everything goes okay with your Wrecker order, @mjag!

It is out for delivery so should get it later today, will definitely let you know.

Awesome! Thanks! This is actually all sorts of funny... I didn't realize until now that the Vapor Room in question is in Lewiston, ME, which means it's like 40 mins away. So I could drive up there and get it EXCEPT our car is shot at the moment. So I could order it EXCEPT because of the deeming regs they can't ship to addresses in-state. (I've never heard of that, but whatever.) BUT I have an out of state address-- my parents'-- and I happen to be visiting next week. So we're back on!

Sorry for the handcheck but Hooray!

Vapor Room was great insofar as ordering and shipping went. Ordered on the 27th and package was here on the... 1st, so that's not too bad for first class mail from a shop that's really an online extension of two storefronts.

Ed: Boooooooooo the fire button is spinning and the contacts are grinding behind it. Need a fix or replacement. Oh well, now I get to see how VaporRoom's CS is!

I will definitely let you know once it's all sorted. So far I've spoken to two people there about it because I called them first but was told I should e-mail about warranty or replacement concerns and both the person I spoke to on the phone and the one I e-mailed with were very friendly and apologetic, so fingers crossed. I'm actually going to drive up and do it in person once I've returned from my trip, so with any luck that will only increase my chances of this being an easy replacement as I can show them exactly what the problem is. So far, the little interaction I've had about the problem has been very positive.

Vapor Room was very good about the replacement. I basically went in, said "I spoke to someone over e-mail about replacing my G2," he asked what my e-mail address was to get a refresher and then after that it was as simple as handing him mine back.

So the custom service was great, and their prices on some items are surprisingly reasonable for a B&M (the wrecker itself included). I decided to treat myself to an Asmodus Minikin 2 and I absolutely love it.

HOWEVER.

@mjag you have a ton of these, do your fire buttons spin at all? This is only my second and my other isn't handy right now so I can't easily compare at the moment. The guy at the shop and I DID have a discussion about the issue, I told him I have another wrecker and I don't recall the button spinning and he said he thought they just did that but that the grinding noise from my first one was certainly problematic.

In short, the new one's button still spins but there is no grinding noise, so it's a lot less problematic but bothers me just a bit in a literally obsessive-compulsive way. If you say that not a single one of yours does that, I may contact HohmTech themselves. Not that Vapor Room wasn't good but it was the last one they had in red and it's also a little difficult to get up there and they can't mail in-state. If any of your fire buttons spin some, I can live with it, but I would like to compare at least...

I don't have a G2 with me at the moment but what I do remember that the button is round so it should spin around. I only remember as I was sent a tank to test and the damn thing dumped it's juice right into the 510 of my G2 so I had to take it apart and clean it out. The + and - buttons have an edge to keep them from spinning but not the power button. The grinding noise is not common though so it was good you got a replacement and I would not worry about the button, it is normal.
