So obviously there is a link between Phillip Morris or RJ Reynolds and Fox News, huh?

Why is it you keep bashing fox news??? All they did was a piece on the legislation, they didn't write it!!! Get off you liberal high horse and realize that maybe they were just reporting news!! Also, this report may be a good thing as it will continue to get people interested and (hopefully) they will get themselves educated on e-cigs!!!

And which news source do you consider to be trustworthy ?
I actually watch one who's slogan is "The place for politics" ... not the one that claims to be "Fair and balanced". They're both political, one is honestly political, the other is a farce which tries to portray itself as a news organization.

Well, some time in the next 10 to 100,000 years. Hmmm.
Maybe most of us realize "Fox News" is a farce?

actually The geological record shows that the Yellowstone caldera has erupted approximately every 600,000 years. the last eruption was 600,000 years ago. So we are at about the right time. IT could take another 1, 5000 or maby 100000 years but we are in the general timeframe for another.

We are many years from a iceage, the sun or nemesis planet or whatever ends life on this planet every few million years is gonna take a bit. So pretty much there are only 3 major life ending things supervolcano's, asteriods and us.

I say we end it. lols

Yes, if you like your news with a decidedly liberal slant, then MSNBC would be the one for you.

Well, the fact is, we can't yet forecast earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions usually don't give much warning, if any. Yeah, Yellowstone could begin 'unzipping' tomorrow ... Yellowstone is interesting. But, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. We (humans) may very well see a couple ice ages come and go before Yellowstone blows. (Or not).

We'll end it if something else doesn't beat us to it. Your list is short of a number of other possibilities. What's really scary is the number of people who seem to feel the species (and the planet) are invulnerable.

And I'm not. To each his own, but IMO, they all have their own bias.
Yes, they absolutely DO. And, as I said, some of them are HONEST about the fact that they have a point of view, while others are NOT. I watch my "The Place for Politics" knowing full well that it is slanted. You watch your Faux News, believing their "Fair and Balanced" BS slogan. It's a free country, no thanks to the likes of Faux Noise. I am a strong supporter of freedom of speech. The dishonesty of FN is beyond all reason, and IMO very UNAmerican.

Their slogan is not why I watch.

@bestthingever: Are you familiar with the 1938 radio broadcast by Orson Welles of H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds"? Familiar with the chaos it created? There's a reason for broadcasters to make it clear that what they're broadcasting is fiction, or opinion, or conjecture, or whatever. It's called ethics.

And, until deregulation, it was the LAW.

Yes, I am familiar with that event. I don't consider Fox News to be fiction, opinion, conjecture, or even whatever.

And, that's the problem. When I watch MSNBC, I KNOW I'm watching political commentary. You, on the other hand, watch an equally political cable channel, and think you're watching news.

How do you know what other people think? Do you have ESP? I watch FOX news because I think their opinion is the right one. I do think they are pretty fair though. They give the left side plenty of opportunities to debate their views and most of the time the debate is worthless, because liberals are wrong 98% of the time! That's right, I said it! Therefore, it is really hard for them to debate. That is the only reason for the liberals bashing Fox news, they have no other way of trying to defeat them because they are speaking the truth, and it is extremely hard to battle the truth. :):):)

You can say that is just my opinion and all of that and it is your right in this country to say that. But the liberal viewpoint, as noble their ideals maybe, is unsustainable and criminal in many ways. Stealing from the rich to give to the poor is not something I am willing to go along with. I am not rich, only make about 50K a year. But I believe whoever earns their money should be allowed to spend as they choose, not what the government chooses for them.

Go here to see more on this subject

:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Actually, if you want "news", catch some of the Money shows, Business channels.
They actually do analyze how all things political are going to impact you, your business, and your generations to follow.
It's a little more in depth, they give you the facts, you make your own connections, form you own opinions, and you aren't subject to whoever is wearing the hat of the day.
People will watch the programming that already matches their sensibilities. To cast a critical hyperbola probably means you don't watch it, so not very fair criticism. I used to love Chris Matthews in the Clinton years, thought he was the most intelligent analyst around, but the last few years he talks like a crazy person. The look in his eyes is almost spooky, thrill up his leg and all. If it wasn't for varying views from more than one source we would probably all just love the new Health Care Legislation. Nah. I get nervous when my share of the National Debt jumps from $53000 to $70000, and I didn't buy a darned thing, and still need to get some bird seed and a can of 100% Columbian dark roast at $10.80. It scares me.
So yes, an occasional nice piece about e-cigs would be great, but in view of current authority being righteously against anything remotely smokey, we'd be hard pressed to find favorable reports no matter what the source. We're the last bastion of those evil addicted smokers, I'm afraid.

Nice BigJimW....a little over the top though ;)

All this banning is really starting to get old. I wonder if anyone in government actually cares about more important things than money... Worst comes to worst there is always the old standby of making our own island nation. I'll let you know when I've figured out how to make an island artificially....

How to make and artificial island: How about we just start piling up the corpses of our fallen smoking brethren - based on all available statistics roughly 38,000 of us die per month (and still they want to take away/Ban a product which can substantially lessen that death toll - in fact some states already have - so let's start in those states, requesting the bodies of our brethren) Our 'Island of Death' should stack up pretty quickly. Do you think that maybe then these b*st**ds would take notice and get a clue, develop a conscience, not to mention a backbone!!
