I have had some very good suggestions about the tank from the posters here, and I guess that when filling the first time you should let it set for awhile to allow the carto to wick the juice and wet the carto. I haven't built one yet, but I think after setting for a while with juice in the tank I will look inside of the carto and see if it looks moist, and if not I will add some juice to the carto. Maybe some of the other people that use the tank will tell me what you think? I know if you burn the diaper surrounding the coil its shot, and no fixes with what I have experienced.

I fill the carto like normal, slot it or drill it,put it in the tank, fill the tank,BOOM,~4mls liquid, ready to vape all day

Oh yeah, I meant to reply to the post about the rubber taste. I'm not getting that either. I've made 4 of these tanks so far, and no rubber taste on them or the Chopper tank that I bought. Are you one of the posters who boiled the rubber pieces first? I read back through and saw that a few people had tried boiling them.

I don't have any suggestions to get rid of the rubber taste since I haven't experienced that.

I did not boil. Like I said, I washed them in tepid water and dish soap.

the burnt taste is overpowering

am using a 4.2V with DC 1.5ohm. the liquid is 50PG/50VG. having punch 2 holes on the cart.

Try adding some liquid in the cart to prime it.

tried doing it. after 4 drops it will start leaking from the bottom of the cart. but the top of the polyfill always seems to be dry
Toss it! Fill a new one and try again at 4v

Here is a tip for punching a hole in a cartomizer, I found this the easiest way for me to do it. I used a 1 inch long concrete nail as punch. Their pretty pointed & are hardened. To hold the DC cartomizer I used a thin strip of two sided foam tape stuck to a piece of wood, then taped over it with a couple of strips of masking tape. I barely lifted the hammer 8 inches. It punches a nice hole without leaving any shavings from a Dremel or a drill.

Also, after a little more experimentation with my Fluxomizer tank, I took my Exacto blade & turned the holes in the tube body into two slits. Even easier filling now.

Has anyone come across any of the Boge cartos that have been reported to have filler issues, namely that they are packed too tightly and won't wick properly. I think I just came across 2 of them, and they won't wick for nothing. Great holes punched in, primed a bit on the top, my usual procedure, they just won't wick. The first few toots are great, then dry taste leading to burnt taste. I just put another carto in, and it is divine.

I don't have a answer for you on this one, I know some do wick better than others and hate it when you use a new one and it doesn't vape right. Aslo don't forget it you have a bad carto that has lots of juice in it, to pull the wicking material out and put in a syringe and push the plugger down and you will get all the juice back. I'm wondering how long you cut you syringes for the mods you built and what length others like if they would share with me. Also preference for the hole size to drill in the carto for the best wicking in the tube mod?

I have 2 that are doing that now. They are 2.0s
