You may have said earlier, but what cartos are you using ?
Thats all I use in the tanks is Resurrectors, so I don't understand you having problems with them. I punch 1 hole above the bottom stopper, and fill and let a new one sit for 15 min. then vape and they work great. Look in a mirror and take a hard puff and you should see bubbles coming out of the hole in the carto, unless you have a air leak in your tank. Try punching a hole instead of a slot, I think sometime when you make a slot you burn the filler and it won't wick, it gets very hot when you cut a slot. Also drip a little juice on the carto hole and see it wick before you put it in you tank, if it doesn't wick I wont wick in the tank either. Hope that helps. Don't give up they will work. The ones that won't wick are the Resurrectors from CCV, SS. The only other one I tried that wicked for me was a Dual Coil carto (that had been used for a few days before cutting the slot) from madvapes.
My4jewels, Look at my corrected post #1289. Oops.LOL
A big THANK YOU to Spazmelda for sending me some ear ring backs and a few extra goodies.
What a great member to this community.
All I got was a few lousy washers
only joking![]()
Received a 20ml plunger sample from the Plasticold Company. The fit into my 20ml Ideal tube is tight, not just snug. The top of two 'ridges' sits on the tube's edge. Even though I have just the bottom ridge inside the tube, it's still tight. That puppy is SEALED! It does take a lil' effort to insert the plunger. The height/thickness is almost twice that of the Ideal.
My conclusions:
Super seal
Some effort to insert
Volume reduction due to thickness
Syringe filling difficulty anticipated
I'll continue to use the Ideal plungers since I'm not having any issues with 'em.

I also received a syringe tip protector which is not suitable as a filler port plug. It is too long and would interfere with the carto.
Oh well... don't know until ya try.![]()
Oh, something else I've been thinking about that might be helpful. with regard to the 'no wicking' issue - try with a 1/4 of the tank as just air (not fully filled). This should give some 'stretch' to the tank contents and allow a 'pull-in' of the liquid on draw (gasses are far more flexible than liquids), overcoming potential air-locks at the interface. If one thinks of the hole(s) as effectively being valves, then the logic is clear.
If there is a potential weakness, I think it would not be the outer seal, but that to the cartomiser
Would there be any logic to the placement of the holes (higher on the carto vs. lower) having an effect on wicking?
After reading this I wonder if a hole was placed at the bottom of the carto and one above in the area without fluid maybe it would wick easier by allowing the fluid to push any air in the carto upward, but you would think the air would move easily up thru the wicking material anyway. Maybe worth an experiment. LOLThis does jive with my experiences so far, as I have had cartos wick differently as the level changes (sometimes getting a tad slurpy when the juice level was very low and the juice was thin). It did not matter with my dud 'carto from hell' that I described earlier. It wouldn't wick no matter what the level of the juice was in the tank.
Would there be any logic to the placement of the holes (higher on the carto vs. lower) having an effect on wicking?
Jim, logically, I would think that you would experience early joose 'starvation'.

Go-Go doesn't sell the bottle separately and madvapes wants $3.29 for *one* 15ml bottle with a Luer lock cap.
Grumble.

...Try eBay for bottles. Plus, there have been several posts on where to get 'em in the DIY forum.

Hey wyojoe - been searching the thread but still not sure what a SADDLE VALVE is or where you get one!! - when you use this, does it put a big dimple in the carto - this always happened when I used a finishing nail and hammer so I went to a hacksaw - BTW, just had a 510 dual coil start leaking - others have speculated that the filler is TOO absorbent and tends to get oversaturated - so....removed the top end cap, poured the juice into a bottle and vaped the carto for anothter couple hours just fine - (will try a smaller slot on the next one) actually, it's still vaping great - I'm so into tanks though that when it dries out, will prob toss - just can't bring myself to drip more juice into it - any kind of dripping is just so yesterday - ThanksThat is a very nice thing to offer me.THANKS-- My tanks are working good so I won't take you up on your very generous offer. I was just stating that mine works the best and very well with just one hole punctured , by turning the t-handle of the saddle valve all of the way in until it stops. I will try to make 2 holes again when I need to replace this one and see what happens. Have you tried just one hole at the bottom??
