I have probably a dozen more syringe tanks waiting for a fill plug and a flavor. I diy, so I have tons of custom flavors. I probably vape 7-10 flavors a day, depending on the day. I occasionally have a rare day when I will only vape 1 or 2.

lol...me too...love my different flavors all day..:)

I dunno if anyone has tried X2 Clear Dual Coil XL 510 Cartomizers - Avid Vaper but they are what I have been using for my wife's and my tanks. Since they are a durable clear plastic I just use a pointy solder iron tip to melt a hole almost all the way through then puncture the rest of the way with a 16 guage needle. Two holes caused flooding, but one hole is perfect.

Avid vapes also has a xxl version, clear, that is longer so you can put a longer, not wider, tank on it. I'm gonna try these next.

Thanks again for this awesome thread finally got my wife off of expensive clearos using these.

Here's a pic of my tanks. Some are liquinators, some are homemade syringe tanks. Each one has a different flavor. I have a few more that didn't make it for the photoshoot, including the one I'm vaping right now atop my Buzz Pro Mist. I switch constantly, so it's nearly impossible for me to know how much liquid I use daily. I would guess around 4-6ml.

Where did you get the rubber plugs that have the lip on the ends? That would solve my prob of having the plug slip in too far.

edit: I don't think she made those tanks, I think she bought them. Those aren't syringe mods, they're regular tanks with delrin caps and o-rings inside.

Actually it doesn't since the third seal is the same size as the other two :)

I have both and the three-seal plugs slide in just as easy - I solved the problem by adding a fill port.

Looking at her pic, it looks like her plugs only have a lip on the end and no seals on the inside... I wonder If those are the Liquinators I see people talking about.

A couple of them are, I think. They do have two o-rings in each cap - one that seals against the carto and the other seals against the tank.

One last bit/question. When you have a new carto how do you fill it? I've just been filling the tank, slap it on my mod, then suck on it toll I can see it is about 3/4 full. I then wait about 10 min then vape on.

I usually just fill the tank then prime the carto with 20 drops of juice or so.

When you have a new carto how do you fill it?

For an initial fill, I'll drip the top of the filler with about 1ml of joose. I figure that this assists in the capillary action from the bottom feed hole(s), plus insuring that the top coil is damp. It's been working for me.

I'm entering my fourth week with my first build, 1.5Ω dual coil, and it still sizzles when I fire it! Gotta luv it...

I am Inspired.

I have been avoiding tank mods I don't have any metal sleeved cartos, I don't use them anymore - But I do have a clear dual coil carto that I don't use anymore (new) and some CE'2. (regular) and I have two Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartos, one unopened and one slightly used.

I hated the EMDCC's They get way too much air with the vape. So I can use one of those for the tank, and bottom and top rubber stoppers. I liked the Dual Coil Cartos at first but they have a filler taste I wish to avoid. ( Dont know if this mod will avoid the filler taste Does it or do you still get filler taste from the carto?)

I'd love a CE2 tank mod but with this I would have to extend the wicks which I cannot do. ( I know I can buy big CE2's but I'm on a budget)

What I'm thinking about doing is making a tank mod with the EMDCC's and the dual coil clear carto's cus i've already got all those parts and it should work.

I might also do it with a CE2 and just use a really short tank.

I notice he didn't pre-fill the carto I know it has a hole in the bottom that he cut, but I think pre-filling the carto before filling the tank would just help saturate the filler in the carto.

If you're talking about the syringe tanks, I assemble my tank, fill upside down with a syringe just like in the video, being careful not to go up to the holes in the carto. I pull out the syringe and vape. I used to prime the top of the carto, but I have found it's not really necessary if it's a properly filled carto.

John, you have to try a carto in a tank. I used to use ce2's and loved them. I used the ce2's in tanks also. I never thought I would like a cartomizer in a tank until I saw this thread. I made one with a boge carto and I love it more than anything out there. Try and get a carto and make one, you wont regret it.
