<-- has decided he likes the ghetto tanks made out of 6ml bottles better than syringe tanks.

They're a bit smaller in diameter so they look a little better on a *Go battery but since they don't have end caps they hold about as much and are more stable if you wanted to put one in your pocket. Since I started filling them from the bottom I haven't needed a fill port in them and I haven't had any issues with juice darkening in the tank from rubber seals eroding a bit.

+1 ...I agree..:)

Well, I made my first syringe tank mod a few days ago and even tho I didn't get the right type of syringes, I was still able to make them work with a little ingenuity ;) Then, today, I made one of those ghetto (bottle) tanks. Although I do think they both work extremely well...I have to say, the ghetto tank is WAY EASIER and FASTER to make! I'm now waiting on more SS Resurrector's to arrive, then I'm going to use those to make more of the bottle tanks and use my Boge cartos for syringe tanks cuz' they're shorter and don't fit the bottles ;)

Thanks my4jewels, for starting this thread...and to everyone who contributed with all the wonderful and useful tips, tricks, and new ideas! These are a heck of a lot cheaper than buying the premade ones!

That's great to hear Wiz! Have you tried the "Hot Change"" like in the vid- where you slide the bottle from one carto to the next?

Not yet - but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work ;)

Well, I've tried it now and it works perfectly - didn't spill a drop.

The really cool part was after I got the new dry carto in I put my thumb over the battery connection and squicked the tank a couple times to prime the carto. That was pretty neat :D

Got my 6ml bottles yesterday and made this one this morning.

I put 3mls of juice in it to try out. So far so good, only been about an hour tho. The carto in it is a 1.7Ω Resurrector with one hole punched. I think I am going to drop my nic level and tobacco flavoring down a tad.
If all goes well thru out the day, I think I will take the carto and tank off when I go to bed and set it in a small cup just in case it wants to flood while sitting all nite, I'll do this until I feel I can trust it. So I'll stay with this one for a couple days to see how it goes, before putting them on my other pv's.
I can definitely notice more vapor and TH so far.

I used Goo Gone. I did it outside because the smell is bad. And, of course, I did my tubes when they were not being used in a tank. I let them soak in hot soapy water and washed them really well afterwards.

You can use a magic eraser, but you might frost the surface if you're not extremely careful.

Alcohol and nail polish remover laughed at me, too.

Any got an exact brand or type of bottle for making the ghetto tanks ? I know it uses 6ml bottles but I'm thinking that not all 6ml bottles are the same and the ones I've come across dont have that flange or shoulder to properly seal the tank.

I got mine here.

Thanks! I do love the Ming. One question though, and I'm sure it's been discussed, but on my phone it's hard to find. What's the best way to remove the graduation markings on the outside of the tank? I tried alcohol, and it just laughed at me.

I've found the natural oils from my fingers do quite nicely through handling of the tanks. I let the numbers stay on a freshly made tank, and by the time I've gone through one tanks worth of juice, the markings come off very easily just by using my fingernail.

Am SOS pad works pretty well and doesn't frost the tank as much as some other things I've tried.
