what are those sparks i saw in my ody when i press the button?

u mean sparks on the stainless steel mesh?

Right on the knob where i tied the NR and R wires together.

If the heating is where the NR & R are linked together.
. This suggests a weak contact.
The wires must be twisted more tightly

If its sparking where you have joined the wires together then the join must be the culprit as Moisin has said.

well, i followed everyone advises here. first of all not too tight on wrapping, just snug it, and make sure none of the R coils are touching each other. Tightening the NR and R for it not to be loose. oxidize all my mesh hardcore. its my first rebuildable, i have much to learn. but wick is so bad for me and not mesh, not sure why too. maybe i have sensitive bud to detect the wick taste.
