I wanted a ZAP and now after reading about the trouble Zen has gone through producing them, I want to get a standard too.

I say get both honestly....I have a mini, and plan to add a pro with a mini provari in the future. The zenesis is fully mechanical and will never give you errors....
But if money is an issue, just to with the pro since you are ready for it.
I think I'm going to try and get a zenesis for myself and a ZAP for my fiancée. Then later on down the road, money permitting, a ZAP for my provari. As much as I love my provari I would absolutely be thrilled to upgrade to a zenesis.
Zen, you are a class act, brother. If the cost of your product went up this round, I doubt it would cause anyone who wants to snag a unit to shy away. We are all rooting for you, and I'm certain that everyone here is as excited as you are to watch this operation become a smashing success.

Damn straight, I'd gladly pay an extra $50 per unit to see Zen make a decent profit

I'm on the same boat...going for both if I was any good at photoshop Id put the zap on a provari mini to see what it would look like.....
Zen, thanks for sharing the personal details of your creation of the Zenesis. I see that you have a big heart and that you want to get the vaping community your quality product at an affordable price point. Maybe at some point you can afford to do that and keep the price of a Zenesis at a magic number but I don't think that time is now. Not yet.

I'm going to suggest something that will most likely be hugely unpopular... mark up the Zenesis $100 each right now. Get out of the negative. Put some cash in your pocket. Take some stress off yourself. And free your mind to making a great product. We appreciate your willingness to sacrifice yourself hours and cash but seriously, no one asked you to. Mark up the Zenesis $100 each. They will sell. Fast. And later, when the gears start churning, you can bring the price down to what you think is ideal. People who don't want to pay $100 more can wait a while.
