For the future, I think Zen should not tell anyone when these units come out. In stead of giving a date, just say what month they will be available or what week they will be available. This way the people who really want them will spend only a few seconds checking the site to see if they are available - randomly. If they really want it, they will check back every day if they have to.

But giving a date, this causes the site to get hit all at once. And it is pretty obvious that eCommerce is not able to handle the load. In the end, it has not been a pleasant experience.

Just a simple "check back soon" if the items is out of stock....and if they really want it, they will check back soon.

Ps. this site is definately not working correctly....I used my log in and password and I was put into someone else's account! Now if I wasn't looking and processed that order, without checking the contact and billing info, I would have purchased someone else a zenesis..

That is a VERY serious problem.

Zen, if you want I can send you a print screen of that person's account info.

Should I be worried? I have it in my recent orders on the site as
Order # AB-1017
And, have the charge on my credit card.... But have NOT received email confirmation of receipt/payment. I see other people getting email confirmations..... Zen?

No confirmation email, but it shows as a placed order in the acct. history. My darn cc acct is through a FCU and only updates in the morning. If it wasn't a valid order, I hope that whoever gets one tonight just vapes it. I am gonna go say compline and hit the sack

No kidding! Maybe people should sign out, log back in a start from scratch? I would be scared to death to do that though...after all this time!
I wonder if the issues are stemming from their requests being caught up in queue previous to Zen updating the bandwidth.

Ahh. But this is solved through better software.

After get the shipping rate I must keep it to take all the time to get the totally or if it's didnt work to refresh again ?

NO, switch between shipping options to refresh the Order Total if you already see the Shipping Options and can select between them. (this faster and better than trying to Refresh The Shipping Total, but HOW MANY SHIPPING OPTIONS DO HAVE AVAILABLE to SWITCH BETWEEN?) Since you outside the USA, I don't know if you can switch between shipping options because I don't know if you have at least 2 to switch between)

Everytime you switch the shipping option, then switch it back to the one you want, the system attempts to reload and repopulate the order total.

When you get an error popup, switch the shipping option and back again.
If it Order Total takes forever then YES, also switch between the shipping options to cause the order total to recalculate.

I think it's safe to assume that the Standards that are left, are in frantically spinning carts headed to check out. Got a shoot in a couple hours, time to try and catch some sack.

Don't let the .......s get you down Zen. You and your product speak for themselves and there are so many peeps here that DO UNDERSTAND, and support you 110%. Hell... Even I can see that and I've only been here a couple weeks. Once you get through the growing pains you'll look back and really will laugh. Maybe shaking your head at the same time... but laughing none the less.

Ya'll be good...

After 3 hours of clicking and thinking myself severely OCD, thick headed, or outright insane for sticking to it for so long, I finally checked out!

Main tip I would give it that once you have everything not spinning and you have your shipping, cc info, and total, hit checkout. If you get errors after hitting checkout, then clear the boxes and hit checkout again. Success is when after you hit checkout, there's spinning on your screen, and then it tells you that you have nothing in your cart.

I downloaded chrome and used the method explained by benztech83 (quoted below) where you keep changing shipping type until total and cc box loads without errors. Not sure if this step is necessary but I found that if you get an error box and you have spinning on your total or cc, it might never stop spinning due to that error.

Hope this helps somebody :D

K, i'll try.. hard to explain in a post. Im not sure how it works in any other browser but... If you using chrome and on the checkout screen you need each of the three boxes (shipping, total, and cc) to load without error. When you first get to the screen you have to select shipping method. Once you select it all the wheels start turning. If you get an error message (pop up box telling you it had problems processing/configuring) for any of those wheels you wont be able to check out properly.

What I did was select parcel shipping... wheels turned... got an error... then selected priority shipping... got an error.... kept doing this until the shipping selection, total, and credit card boxes all came up with no errors. Entered my information at this point. I then hit the checkout button and error boxes popped up but all my info was still there. I had not received an email and my card hadnt been processed at this point. So waited a few moments and hit checkout again.... Same errors. I repeated this about 5 or 6 times until the order finally went through ( checking my bank and email each time to make sure an order didnt process already before I tried again ).

Im assuming this is going to be confusing but maybe it will help someone. It worked for me.

It worked! Just went through and got instant email notification! Thank You Zen!!!!! I know your gonna keep the actual release time on the down-low for next time.

I kept getting a 'shipping method invalid/missing' error message at the end of check out. I just kept hitting check out ober and over again despite the error message and it finally went through.

WOOHOO!

That was exciting, exhilarating, mind bendingly, intense, and excruciatingly nerve racking. And a little tiring at the end. It was WELL worth the battle!

Congrats to those of you who survived the system!!!

KEEP HITTING THE CHECKOUT BUTTON! See if that works! It worked for Burnside!

This was the most intense online camping for a product drop that I have experienced in a long time. The anticipation lasted 3 hours which was AWESOME TOWN!!! This was definitely the longest, most drawn out drop I've ever experienced. Other drops have been just as intense, but they literally last less than a minute (but without an exact time of drop hence why people camp out for it). Tonight's drop at least gave some of us a shred of hope or dismay (depending on one's outlook).

Dude... We get it. You're the best software engineer ever. I'm pretty sure the last thing Zen needs right now is some armchair quarterbacking.

Not trying to be a jerk, but if you can't tell, no one is responding to your posts, and even as just an onlooker (i.e. I'm not trying to purchase anything tonight, and I'm not Zen), I'm finding them annoying.

That's all I'll say on the matter, and I won't speak for Zen, but maybe save this discussion for after the dust settles.
