The wick may have been too tight from the get go then..maybe it wasn't letting juice in..

I think and don't count on this but I think my juice is either 60 or 70 VG and 40 or 30 PG

I think that's too much VG for that wick Stormie

I can't get this plastic thingy off and the bottom of the wick is pinched closed.

roll the wick between your fingers to make it a lil narrower until you can slide the plastic off

ok new wick has been rolled until it fits into the plastic thingy. Sliding it into the hole now

It's not just you sweets! Lots of people here are new to Genesis mods. I am as well. I get the feeling mine is only working at 80% or so, but it's better than it was before I changed my wick/ coil combo. Maybe some kind soul would be interested in Skyping with you for a face to face(ish) triage! *cough* Vic? *cough*

I would recommend oovoo over Skype for video, no chops or cut outs, leaps and bounds better.

ok I've wrapped the coil around it 4 times. it doesn't look as pretty as Zen's

I can't seem to get them to touch all the way around on both sides of the wick. Each coil has a little kink where it's not touching the wick.

Good to know... I think I refered to the Zenesis as being a mod once or twice in a previous post or two! . So now I'm better educated, it's strictly an APV, right?

Try turning the AYS too. Not jut the coil around the wick. Hold the coil, turn the AYS, then finish the wrap. Makes it a little easier and tighter

Ok all the coils are lighting up evenly..........and the brain fart kicks in.........now what

Stormie, don't forget that if it is too harsh and hot for you, you might need another wrap of coil. With 32 wire I need 5 or even 6 wraps.

It's okay, Zen~ ain't that pretty, he makes up for it with nice coils.
