Hi everyone :)

I am waiting for an enormous order of NLV flavors I have never tried as well - no notice yet - I'm actually feeling good about going through the stash of niquids that is already here - NLV can take his time with mine :)

Russ, I have no idea what your PVs are complaining about - sounds like a loving attentive home you have provided! I have one and only one thing you could check that I haven't seen here - you said you are not using the orig PTFE wick insulator. Whatever you are using, have you made certain that it is the complete and proper length of the wick port? What I mean is, if the insulation you are using is shorter than the port's sides, you could check if any of the wick is slightly shorting to the PV at that point. I hope they learn to behave for you soon! You sure have become an experienced "futz-er" in the least voluntary of ways!! I'll be watching for the resolution of this issue - cheers! -no wait, little early for that ;)

Tried them all.

I keep coming back to your description of it being a HOT surface like burn. If it was a harsh burn it would be burning your throat only not your lips, like a hot surface would. If its harsh and your struggling with the break in of the wick, as that seems to have been my initial experience with a 4/3 wrap on 325' with my Ti. I would recommend wrapping more coils. The wick sent pre installed on the new standard I received was a 400 mesh with a 5/4 wrap, and it wasn't harsh to me at all.

Note: the Ti was my first Genesis device and perhaps I just wasn't accustomed to the different vape it delivered on the Ti and that is why i perceived a harshness on it and didn't on the standard or the DID (which is also running a 325 mesh and 4/3 wrap).

I checked the update and it say : All the parts are in EXCEPT for the engraving... the engraving will be back on Friday... these WILL SHIP on Tuesday 8/7/2012.

I didnt see any other update ??!
Did Zen said that here ?

ASH - he did say here that the engraver left for a week and "forgot" to tell him - I am not sure if that was an explanation of why it IS shipping a week after expected, or if it was meant to add yet another week to the wait. I am hoping for the former! Would love to see you get a shipping notice today!!!! :)

I believe that was posted before he found out the engraver had forgotten to tell him he was going on vacation. The latest info came during a visit from Zen on Thursday or Friday of last week.......

That would put the date of that post in the alerts thread around the same time he posted here. I thought they were tied together and posted on the same night. I believe when he posted about the engraver, he also said it was a late delayed due to that vacation thing. I believe this is only the first delay since Mike announced when they would ship, the same time payment notifications went out. No rush here, but that is the way I thought it has been proceeding though, however I have been a little absent from the late night banter this week and Mike may have revised the info and I missed it somewhere.

They should be done next week.

Was supposed to be last week BUT... he "forgot" to tell me he was going on vacation this week... I have NEVER forgotten a vacation was coming.

Looks like a longer delay, but shouldn't be that bad. Zen alerts post was the 1st and this the 4th.....maybe one more week wait ASH. Patience grasshoppa......

Okay, well then, I misled you. It burns EVERYTHING. Lips, tongue, throat. I just futzed with the PTFE on the Ti. Had to look pretty funny in Walgreens parking lot, but i pulled the wick/coil, trimmed away any mushrooming from the PTFE, wrapped a new coil. It has a new 325 wick from this morning and a tank 3/4 full of Bobba's. We'll try it for a while and see how my hypothesis works.

That's what I keep saying. Mine was doing the exact same thing...really, actually burning. Like eating extremely hot peppers, that burn that won't go away. I added a coil and voila...no more burning at all.
