Hey Zen -

Just so you know, I bought the Zenesis because of your attitude and craftsmanship - there are plenty of others, and that is why I chose yours. I had confidence that if there were a problem you would fix it and your answers seem to verify that.

Nothing I post is ever meant to be a dig or a slight. I just post my problems and wait for the solution, and occasionally rant.

"Haste makes waste"

This is a lesson well learned on the release of the zenesis... I pushed hard... Too hard... And now there are issues in the field.

For me the good news is there are far more happy people than upset... Which means there are isolated issues caused by my rush to get these things out to you.

I have learned that its far better for you to be upset by waiting then to be upset by having operational problems.

Everybody will get new switch buttons... And that means everybody. I'm replacing all of them. Everybody will get poly tanks as emergency rations.

There will never be another shipped with oil and all of them are being put through my dishwasher before final assemble.

I plan on getting the coil video recorded tomorrow.

I haven't been online today because the production is taking place.

To the folks sending me PMs, I can't work on the PVs and answer PMs at the same time.

We are close to the goal line... Please be patient... This has been a really steep learning curve but so far there are Far more people that are satisfied than dissapointed... My goal is 100% satisfied.

Thanks to all the Zenfidels that are jumping in to help those that are new to these devices. I really appreciate it!
Zen I'm on the feb list and I know you been busy building but I'm waiting patiencely in my cold dark corner.
There have been many times where I wanted to pm you about my zenesis but never once have I pm you about when I'm going to receive mine. I know this has been big headache for you, but you are doing the right thing.

Even though I want mine NOW, I'll not rush you to ship my unit out.
As you said, there are more happy people vaping than complaint but that is natural.. There is always going to be problem along the way. But the way you handle it is very impressive.
I've waited this long with many device ordered and I will continue to wait as long as I have to so I can have the best device known so far (and the best vape).
Keep up the good work Zen I got your back:2cool:

Does anyone have a solution for the cap constantly filling up with juice? I do not lay it down and rarely turn it upside down, but within about 30 mins of vaping I have a lot of juice sitting in the cap and around the wick. I would say it is equal to the amount I vape. Ideas?

EDIT: 24 minutes since I made this post and cleaned the cap and here is what I have already:

I have mentioned this, but perhaps if everyone posted in the group thread in the "issues" thread, zen could see the issues and tackle them one by one.

I am not trying to take anything away from your being upset. Your upset. I get it. trust me, I understand.

I do not work for Zen. I am not speaking for Zen. I have a full time job (literally 7 days a week) and am really trying to help all of you get your issues down and taken care of. This thread moves so fast, I worry that issues might get lost in the shuffle. It might help things move along if he can see all the things in one place.

Please keep the comments in the issues area short and to the point. Long explanations are not necessary. If you guys want to rant (which you have a right to do) maybe you should put that in a separate thread. I would like to keep the one there streamlined for the issues only.

I have already asked one member to edit them down so the issues are written succinctly.

Please, please do not flame me for this. I am honestly just trying to help you get your issues in writing and trying to help zen so that he has one place to look. I have no vested interest in this other than trying to help.

Ecitek, what's that little yellowish blob right at about 12:05 on the top of your Zenesis, sort of blocked in the picture by the center post? I can't see it very well because of the angle you took the picture from, but I'm wondering if you have plugged up the tank fill hole with something? Just a thought, but it you have it plugged, that could be the reason you are swimming in juice inside the cap.

I'll post a Raidy tip here. Hopefully it'll help alot of new Geninis users.

Burn your wick a few times, like in Zens video.
Take a 1/4 x 1/4 inch piece of cigarette rolling paper, wrap it around the area where the coil will go.( it sticks better if wet).
Wrap your coil snug on the wick (over the paper).
Drip liquid on the wick, burn for a sec, drip, burn, drip, burn... Don't burn it red hot.
But do this till your coil looks nice and black.
Then just burn off the paper, or peel it off.
This creates a very nice insulator for the coil.

That is a very good trick. I usually just bake a coating of juice char on the coil by pulling the wick from the coil just after making it and pulsing the button while putting drops of juice on the coil. Turns good and black without ALOT of extra gunk so the coil is "seasoned" but the wick has no gunk so it tastes great right away.

I would not suggest anyone that is not very familiar with mesh wicks to do the same though because it is delicate work and very easy to mess up.

That little blob is the top of a toothpick I jammed in that hole in the hopes of stopping the flood of juice. It had little effect slowing the mess, but it is not the cause of the problem.

I agree with the "Trust me a little juice in the cap is a good thing", but I have a lot of juice in my cap. Like I said, that pic is 23 minutes worth of juice. If I don't clean it out very often, it is a gigantic mess.

If that hole is plugged it can cause all sorts of issues... It's not just the filler hole! It's an air hole the needs to be open for the juice to wick properly and it's also a return for unvaporized juice. Even with it open, a little condensation is normal, though it sure looks like more than I would expect in that short amount of vaping.

That is condensation. At first it will make the hits taste a bit off, even harsh but if you leave it be it will mellow out and you can just vape a whole tank through. Personally,I wipe the vapor chamber every so often to keep it down to a minimum, but I noticed, after haning to go on a longish trip in the car, that if left alone the ill effect it has on the vapor goes away pretty quickly and everything works just fine (not as pretty as I like, but functionally it's OK) :)

Do me a favor and if you have a meter, tell me what voltage your battery is at, please.

Zen, that's what I was telling him - if he blocked the hole, that likely caused more liquid to settle in the cap. He obviously didn't believe me; I wonder if he'll believe you?

Oops, I guess we cross-posted.
