Here's the thing... as people, we tend to look at things like you have described as static and unchanging, because so very often we don't see change as it happens. It tends to sneak up on us.
But I KNOW you have change in your life, and it's change for the better...
For example... you're in a
vaping forum making posts... I can anly assume that you're here because a MAJOR chnage in your life has taken place... and that's the switch from cigarettes to APVs, and there were very likely many steps along that path that let you here.
What some people call a rut, others call a life path... and on that path there are are many things different from day to day. This "rut" can be the path to futility, or the path to enlightenment.
If you walk down a path alongside a river each day... the water in that river is DIFFERENT WATER every single miniute of every single hour of every single day... Even the banks of the river are changing every moment!
The footsteps you follow may be your own, but if you take the time to fully engage in each moment of each day you will see the differences in each step...
There IS COMFORT in not seeing the changes as you pass by. But there is great joy in observing even the most subtle of changes.
Take a minute each day to realize THIS IS a new day... and make a game out of seeing the differences in each day, paying no attention to the sameness of it all... Look for the subtle differences in each day... What is different today?
My life has been an adventure, and an amazing one at that. I was raised by a brilliant man and loving mother to question authority. I learned how to observe and quantify my surroundings... and I became really empathic about the people with whom I find myself associated. I care about people, their experiences and troubles and I celebrate their successes.
But mostly... I share what I have and what I know. And ANYBODY can do that from any rut they happen to find themselves in. And by sharing your life and caring about others, that path we're calling a rut suddenly doesn't seem so awful, in fact... it's where great stuff happens.
