I vaped the prototype of the Z-atty for a month, and now the Production version for 4 days...

Here's my observation...

I'm running a 5 wrap coil at 3.9 volts... it's awesome... but it isn't really any more awesome than a Standard with the same coil. Battery life is shorter on the Provari... that's to be expected...

The VV isn't needed... not by a long shot... but... if you have a Provari, Buzz, Buzz Pro or slant topped Precise... it's a way to get the same atty, but on your PV... it saves you about a hundred or so dollars and keeps your old reliable PV in circulation.

This atty was designed to enable you to get the Mesh/Coil Zenesis experience without having to buy a new PV.

Yeah I figured after I posted that it would probably also be great for people who do vape a lot of different juices that behave better/worse at different watts, it's a moot point for me because I vape the same stuff all day.

I could care less about VV - my VV devices sit at about 4.0 all of the time. What I do like is the regulated battery life thingy. Will that be a factor? My provari doesn't drop off, it just dies. But still, with that being the only benefit (if it is a benefit) I still might be better off selling my Provari and getting another Zenesis.

Regulated voltage is definitely a plus! A fully charged AW IMR meters in at approx 4.25v, and totally empty, they clock in at 3.5v, so that 0.725v difference is pretty considerable. Though the voltage under load isnt effected to the same degree, it's still noticeable. I'm all about unregulated mechanical mods, as like zen preaches, it's all about current, I think there's something to be said for the value of vv and regulated mods.

Mental Note:

2:30AM: Not a good time to futz with a coil after consuming copious libations. My top lead (to the screw) was glowing too much and I was getting a little metallic aftertaste, caused from (I assume) bumping the mesh/coil during a thorough cleaning (hours earlier) to change out flavors and hose her down.

I was too rough (uncordinated) & broke my coil!

5 Minutes later I was recoiled and back to vaping.

Inebriated Coil Futzin = Fail

Inebriated Re-Coil = Epically Easy

PS: I may have a 6 wrap coil, but I can always drop a coil tomorrow when I can see and count better.

We now return you to your regular scheduled programming...I do not control the vertical or the horizontal. (maybe someone will get that)

I know the feeling. I swap batteries on my zenesis when they get to 3.7, that's about when the performance drops for me. Takes about 10 hours of normal (for me) vaping to get there. I might need to go to 3 wraps but think it might be to harsh at 4.2 when the battery is fully charged.

After they come out of my zenesis they get set aside for use in my provari so I use the full charge before having to plug them into the charger.

This is the only reason I have considered getting a kick. But I have gotten into a routine of cycling batteries so I don't really need it.

Dude. My 5 wrap is too harsh at 4.2. I can't imagine a 3 wrap with a fully charged cell.

Luckily they discharge to usable range pretty quickly.

I like my vapor pretty warm. That's the biggest problem I had with my GTUS. I was able to mod it to get it almost warm enough. It's vapeable now.

But the zenesis; it's right on time!

I think I've psyched myself into being very careful with my Zenesis. It's almost like I'm deathly afraid of a dry hit. Oh yeah. I've been bitten a few times. :D

High VG juices DO NOT want to wick for me regardless of the mesh used. It always results in my cursing.

I always associate a juice with that burning taste. Even with thin juices that have no problem wicking, I'm always examining the wick before hitting it. lol

I really need to figure thick juices out. hah. ;)

I can tell the second I hit the button if it's gonna be dry. With a warm vapor I can actualy feel the cloud of vapor filling my mouth. If it feels to thin I know my wick is getting dry. And you know when you're wicks a getting dry, you're plenty high. Quickly let off the button and blow out what I had drawn into my mouth. Tilt and let wick. Fire away again.

Only really have that problem when I am breaking in a new wick.

You may want to switch charger, if they're coming off at 4.25v they're not gonna stay happy for very long.

I absolutely can tell as well. I'm always conscience of that taste. lol .

It really only happens to me on 100% VG like Boba's. It's odd though that Gorilla Juice wicks just fine (for the most part).

Good thing I have some good thin juices to vape all day.

I plan on experimenting with wick sizes but, lately, I'm strapped for time like a mo-focker.
