Mine too, but this is how I fixed it:

I stopped shaking it like a maraka and now I see no evil & hear no evil!

(At least until I have a pair of Zeneses and feel like getting musical)

Patient - Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I do this! (imagine the patient moving their arm up and down)
Doctor - Well, then don't do that!

I found the medium switch tension setting ideal, but found getting consistent firing wore out my pinky. To reduce the switch throw distance I did add 1 washer (from the tool bag) under the screw head in the magnetic switch assembly (carefully do this, hold the whole button/cap together firmly, remove screw, add 1 washer (not 2 washers; the other is a spare), then screw it back together without letting go until tight.

I find the medium setting with 1 washer is like butter and 99% of the time I get effortless firing and find it to be the perfect throw distance when I squeeze the apv into my pinky.

The battery will still rattle, but I never hear it.

Enjoy your Zenesis, and congrats!

I had already added the washer, however I still need to press quite firmly to get a good contact every time and thought it may be the play. No more shaking it is then. Very Very exited to finally have it!

thanks Tammy....I can hardly wait..then I'll be a Zenfidel for real..
you might have to answer a few questions though...I've watched the vids
and read most of this thread...

You know I'm here for you always! :) I'm super excited for you, the Zenesis is nothing short of amazing and it's really simple to use. Biggest problem I had was over thinking it, but I kept going back to what Zen insisted.......stop messing with it and just vape it! LOL

I'm a Febbie and been using my mini Zenesis non stop and yesterday, I replaced my wick for the very first time.

I initially wondered if removing the play with the battery would help it fire easier when I first got my mini, but once I added the washer I was happy with it. Maybe a couple of days of strengthening my hand muscles prior to adding the washer helped make the difference? I just remembering it being perfect shortly after adding the washer.

I'm curious when you stand your Zenesis on solid surface does do a tiny and fluid "bobble-head" or "Weeble-Wobble" (if you prefer) movement when you grasp the battery area and rock it?

Mine feels smooth, like it's levitating like it's sitting on a magnetic shock absorber, spins around smoothly, and overall is like butter when I press it with very little effort.

Maybe try out the easy tension setting and see if that works better for you. Although I never did this and don't think it's needed, maybe use a drop of noalox or Deoxit or even cotton swab of WD-40 on the switch internals (something lubricating and conductive) if you decide to take the switch apart to change tension. It might reduce some friction between the metal pieces.

I did put some Deoxit around my button collar to reduce the button wear and minimize oxidation from the constant mashing of my button.

One last thing, don't try to mash the button straight down from center, it needs to nudge to one side (by design). I push in and nudge the switch upward towards the ceiling in a fluid movement with my pinky joint next to the knuckle as I sqeeze down with my palm. I don't press in the center of the button, I press on the top-half of the button.

I think when I first got it I was trying too hard to push the entire switch all the way down perpendicular.

Hope you get it working the way you want.

Sparky,,,,,,,your avatar is going up for auction today,,,,,supposedly it will catch a record price. They are talking that it will go for more then 100m.

Yeah, I read about that the other day. :) Pretty impressive. I wish I had 100 mill....I'd buy it! It's always been one of my favorite paintings. Guess I'll settle for my free avatar. :D

I like the lowest resistance setting for my switch - doesn't require a firm press to fire. Couldn't be simpler! Is yours still set to medium?

My Standard is here!!!
its beautiful!....I filled it with Voo's Broo and its vaping like a champ..
I'm already in love!...
anything else I should know?..::?:
tips or tricks?....

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

thanks Zen...you're the greatest!!!!

YAY!!! Congrats again!!! Sounds like you're up and running! To avoid harsh hits during the break in period, just make sure the wick is horizontal, facing the floor when vaping your Zenesis.

If you find that you still get harsh hits, check for shorts (coils that glow brighter than the rest) and give that one a little nudge up and down to fix the short.

And then, vape it like you stole it!! :)

I sit mine on the table without it firing at the lowest switch setting.

Yes. I have both my Standard and Mini set at low resistance and neither fire when they're standing.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. That is one thing I don't like about the Sturm Mod, but it has a locking mechanism, so no biggie. I can't wait until August.

Oh yeah, I promised myself I would forget about this thread until then, oops. ;-)

Down the rabbit hole..
I will just tell you that there is a break in period and if you already feel it's vaping like a champ, just wait a little bit. It gets even better!
I figured there is but if this is the worst....bring on the best!...
Congratulations Violet!!!!!!
thank you!
