Well, let's explore...
A vv device is often current limited, so to get a range of settings, you need to start with a higher resistance coil than you would be able to get away with on a non regulated battery input.
So let's say we start with 10 coils, and it doesn't much matter what that resistance may be, it's over double the average of say, 4 coils.
With that load, you should be able to get a vv range of 3.3 v to about 4.7v or possibly even higher... The greater the load, the more resolution of settings you have available.
That being said, vv isn't required to get a great vaping experience, but if you're going to use it, that's the best way to do so. There is room to squeeze 8-10 wraps on the mesh in these attys, most genesis type lack that much real estate.
