Sounds like someone put a lot of holes in tops to find the sweet spot.

he didnt agree to my response, and I didnt feel like arguing about it, so it ended up another post i deleted afterwards as it is not worth the effort in any case :p

...the Zen master has spoken and further strenghtened my earlier comments...*bows his head*

Feber here,If zen wants quartz, zen gets quartz!I have waited patiently and will continue to wait patiently. Its not like I don't have any other pv's to use.
Remember zenfidels,It'll be worth the wait and then some.

Actually this waiting is the best part ;)

After we get the Zenesis, we get to wait for the Z-attys and then for the Zentanium. After that one gets a little help from the Zenjector. Then we get our fix from ordering the Dragon and getting teased about the 2012 Limited. By that time we already have our sights on all the new things he has come up for our temptation during the year.

2012 a great year for every Zenfidel, have to call my accountant and start making housecalls to collect all the accounts receivables

So it took me a while to catch up with the evening posts...

After collecting money for these, however... I have to rephrase that to "I want to make the best PV you will allow me to make", because I am now in debt to all of you, and until I ship, I will be uncomfortable with any delay of any kind for any reason.

Best post from a builder/supplier I have seen in a long time.

So it took me a while to catch up with the evening posts... You guys have been busy!

I'd like to take a minute to tell you what I think about this latest development.

First things first... When I designed the Zenesis PV it was my intention, as you know... To build the best PV I possibly can build. I have no illusions about it being the best in the world... I just want it to be the best I can make, even of I have to learn new skills to do so.

I started with aluminum... Because I could. I know stainless is better... And I also know that if I use stainless I would want to use the best available... I lack the machinery to turn 316LVM, and I cannot afford to own it!

Aluminum was the best I could do.

My original plan was to use Pyrex for the tank... Polycarbonate is a compromise. When I discovered Pyrex would be a problem, I settled for polycarbonate even though I wanted to use Pyrex. I have struggled with that decision.

So... Aluminum... A compromise... Polycarbonate... A compromise... The first units have springs in the switch... Compromise... The first units had a pin for the positive connection... A compromise.

And with all the compromises, it's an amazing PV... "its the coolest thing I saw at VaperCon" was the buzz after that weekend. Hundreds of requests to build them came in...

And it was loaded with compromises!

Other people didn't see it that way... They just related to what I was trying to do and fell in love with it!

All could see was where it fell short of my desires.

So out went the spring... Replaced with magnets... Compromise gone.

I redesigned the positive connection... Boom... Compromise gone.

The big upgrade... Stainless, and not just stainless... The best stainless ever used on a PV. Compromise gone...

Then there's that tank... Plastic... Polycarbonate.. Known to have issues... And a complete compromise.

It's not what I wanted to deliver. Pyrex was being mentioned over and over again in the thread and people were offering up well intentioned solutions... Not knowing I have exhausted the options to use that material.

I was working on quartz for a while, and it is completely compatible with the Dragon design... I found several sources of the material, that was easy... Getting somebody to manufacture the tanks is quite another issue. Ive been at this for a while, and working towards the dragon release... Then I found the answer!

So if you ask me how I feel about quartz... It's better to ask me how I feel about polycarbonate...

I hated the fact that I had not solved the problem in time for the production release. It really made me unhappy, because to me... The best PV I can make should not have a plastic tank.

Then the news of the delay at the machine shop... I'm actually ok with that kind of a delay... One that ensures high quality... I looked at the delay and said, how can I flip this time delay into an opportunity... I've already been talking to the quartz people... I wonder if they can produce enough tanks to be able to have them made while the machine shop QA is happening... So I called... And they welcomed the business.

I never wanted polycarbonate... It was never my vision...

I want to make the best PV I can make...

After collecting money for these, however... I have to rephrase that to "I want to make the best PV you will allow me to make", because I am now in debt to all of you, and until I ship, I will be uncomfortable with any delay of any kind for any reason.

Wow guys, I have been following since December and got on the standard list January 5. This thread has been a nightly thing for me and I have enjoyed the nightly ritual of reading the new posts. Man, lately if I miss a day, it is a time commitment getting caught up. This is awesome. I love this thread. I enjoy being a quiet part of your group (cult?). I don't post much. In fact, the last time I posted, I think I might have inadvertently started the whole wick fiasco (sorry). Anyway, I'm glad to be here. That is all. I will go back to my quiet corner and continue observing.

Ok, to answer some questions that popped up in the wee hours of the AM...

Titanium advantages? Nobody needs a titanium PV, but I bloody well WANT one. For me... The biggest plus is the cool factor. If you need to justify it, you're kidding yourself. A titanium PV is about the rareness and excess... Luxury has value.

Titanium quantity? At the moment I have the parts for 25 on order... 24 are available for sale... #25 belongs to me! It isn't a limited edition... It is limited availability. It is absolutely the last time I will do it at this price... I wanted one, and I priced it as low as I could go to make sure I could get people to buy it so I could get one! It will be available again, but any time soon.

Quartz Zenjector? No. That will be polycarbonate.

I think I've touched on the questions.... Now I want to talk about this community.

I'm really blown away by the support this community has given me and the passion everybody has for my vision. I'm also humbled by the patience and willingness to see this through to fruition as I have thrown course corrections into this as we press forward. This truly is our PV!

I've read posts where you have argued with each other about details that most people would consider mundane. It's an honor to build a PV that is worthy of this crowd. This is an impassioned group! Everybody here is seeking the same thing, and we have come together from all corners of the world to make this happen. And I never lose sight of the fact that I cannot do this without the Zenfidels...

I started this to make the best PV I possibly can... And I truly believe it has happened.

But in the process, and with your input and support, we may have ended up collectively designing and bringing to market the best PV in the world today.

We have set the bar very high...

haha! just a refrence to my battery question and asking the gent to scoot over in the quiet corner and pass me a stout also a refrence to the fact that I ride a SHOVELHEAD Harley Davidson (known to leak oil although mine doesnt) hope that clears it up!

I too want to say, that I have several sub-communities that I am a part of here and I have a real fondness for them all.

This one however is my favorite. I just seem to mesh with this group in a way that is special. What I am really trying to say, is that thanks for letting me be me. A super-duper smart ...!

I love this group!
