When I have time later I will post more pics of it firing - and move my questions over the the group forum. The cap in the pic is to show the quantity of juice that is flooding in after a short time.

I also understand that the most likely cause is user error.

And no, I did not drill holes in the cap. Should I?

(that was a joke, but no doubt someone will tell me how I should not drill holes in it)

Yes... drill a hole with a 44 magnum... that should solve the flooding issues :p

We will get you going... I would love to see a pic of that mesh you have unrolled... and also a link to where you got it...

FWIW... I think you're probably close to getting it rolling down the right path.

I also tend to back to back my devices quite often. I could think that the Zenesis would be able to handle more than one small hit before I need to let it juice back up.

If the wick is really tight in the wick hole, try rolling it a little tighter so it is just snug in the hole. That should help your wicking problems right away.

@Diagasa. I agree with lorderos. First try exactly as he said with the 400. If after a day of breaking it in, it doesn't start to wick better, then try the 325. You can also increase the "chimney" above the top cool a little. Also, if is not wicking, a very SLIGHT pull with the air hole covered with your thumb will pull a little bit of liquid into the wick. SLIGHT pull. Or you can hold it upside down or sideways between vapes. I used 100% BMV VG in mine for the last two days using a taller "chimney", fairly tight rolled #400, and it was loosey in the wick hole to the tank.

Zen~, Diagasa is having wicking problems with high VG. ecitek is the one with flooding... Regarding that, if I have been chain vaping and pull my top cap off, flip it over, then it looks the same as his and it vapes just fine... If I have been chain vaping and set upright for a bit, it appears to just settle into the tank. I run 80/20 a lot... Mine would dump 1/4 tank into the cap if laid on its side. That was resolved by a wick that was tighter in the hole and pinched at the top, EXACTLY like Zen~ shows in his video. I was using a hollow straw wick because that is what works for me in the LineV1 and my home built atties.

zen i think he said it was mesh from you and to me the bottom looks right but at the top it looks frayed which i would think itll make it wick more, he also posted in the help thread in the group

vaptamist .................. another one or will 1 do ??

Nope, the pic he posted of the wick he rolled was with his mesh. It looks more like 40x40 than 400x400 and was mostly un-oxidized. He later replaced it with one of Zen~'s wicks.

Zen recommends .44cal? Darn - and I already had my .357 out earlier when I was "pruning" folks from the thread.

FWIW the Ebay seller I bought the "304 stainless 325 mesh" off of no longer sells it. However I did take my magnifier and counted around 12 threads per 1mm. I think it is the flash on my camera that makes it look like a screen door. Honestly it worked well for producing vapor, but I changed to one of your in the spirit of trying-every-damn-I-thing-I-can-to-get-this-working.

I am now going to move over to the Group thread (as requested) to post the "firing" pics I just took.

@Karma. I usually won't do this, but... Dude please don't take any of this personal. Don't be dramatic either, and just have a little thicker skin. You have to realize if someone puts down some $$$ and they can't get it to work to their expectations, well people can get upset easily. So take the high road and if someone doesn't want to read your posts, all they have to do is put you on their ignore list. It really is no big deal. I have many people on my ignore list, because I can't stand people in general. I just don't tell them, well usually. I am a techy person, not a people person ;) You contribute here like everyone else, and the readers take it or leave it. Only contributing to VW is not the answer... I have read some of your ramblings, and some are pretty good... and some I am still trying to figure out what is going on in there...

I have built a few of those pen cap genesis, yea the vape amazing, actually still the only device I HAVE to beat the 306DCA so far, but I haven't gotten my linev2 or my Zenesis. As far as whether or now I know the genesis tech, I doubt I know as much as Zen~, or many of the other modders who have been actually making them for the last year. But after working on the Zenesis FAQ (and giving up on it) and After working on the article about trouble shooting all the different versions of and incarnations of it. I even went to a bunch of the international forums doing research on them.

There are probablyh a few genesis systems I haven't seen yet, but I will find them lol. Yes genesis atties have become one of my autistic obsessions, so I will probably never stop collecting them, even after Zen~ or someone elses makes them obsolete. I am sorry Ecitek is having issues, and I hope he gets them resolved, but I think it is for the best that I keep my advice to myself, or offer it over at wall were people are willing to listen to a ...... like me. Zenfidels I will always be one of you, but I don't think I will be posting that much here, so mark your calenders it is a holiday, it is the day the ZENation freed itself the taint of KARMA! Peace, much love to my friends, I will still be on ECF, but as far as my ZENantics I am going to be restricting them to graphitti over at the Wall.
Karma. Say it aint so. If you are leaving im outa here to. I dont know about the wall. Will shoot you a pm.
