One more thing I should mention is patience. Don't be tempted to just rip out the coil and start again. Take it from someone who didn't follow this advice

I've made nearly a dozen wicks and have wrapped twice that number of coils. Some of this was because I wanted to see how different widths of wick worked and some was just to practice wrapping coils. However, a goodly number were because I'm an impatient son of a b!tch and am perpetually convinced I can do it better.

What I've found is that basically any wick width and any coil will work if you take the time to A) let the wick break in; B) let the coil break in and C) check for shorts and then, after you've removed them, leave the damn thing alone

Out of curiosity, how long did it take to pop? I've had the coils glowing for what seems like a long time, maybe 8 or 10 seconds, and had no issues.

It broke when I pulled the tank off. Keep on mind that this was take 7. So it was my Seventh time in a row taking the tank apart. Guess I bumped it just right an the coil broke right at the top screw. No problems, 60secs later I had a new coil on.

It's real hard to pop kanthal on a dry burn. Especially if you have no shorts.

Speaking of that, where did I put my shorts? It should hit 40 this weekend.

when i ordered my zenesis, and started following this thread, i had 40 posts on this site, in over a year....400 in a few months...lol, the only time i ever used the forum was when i was getting people to talk me into an ego... now i feel like im gonna be at the head of the vaping class with what, by people's reactions, might be the new "standard" other apvs will have to be measured against....

any word from mergryfen on how her coil is running? will the zenesis topple her GG's like it did to Shai's?
