I love Indy too!! (and my Zenesis) Your photo would make a great avatar... I'm tempted to copy the idea and try to make one.And... two of my favorite things, one old, one new!
Okay, now I have to decide what flavor to christen my Zenny (Zenesis Mini) with!!!!

I had hoped to catch that small percentile that doesn't get along with rebuildables, by trying to offer my Iatty for trade to get me a Zenesis......

if people can't get the hang of a zenesis.... how the hell could they get the over complicated iatty to work? lol
ALLL the way around... hole close to wick is less hit, more vapor... hole opposite the wick is the throat hit from Shai-town and thin wispy vapor.
If my plan works, I won't know if I can rebuild my Zenny for a month or so as I plan on the pre installed wick and coil lasting me that long at least!

No... bad idea... the coil must be touching the wick without shorts.
wrap the coil using light tension... just enough to get it to lay onto the wick... and fire it... you'll see the ends glowing... where they go dark... grab a toothpick and slide the wire up and down while firing it... up and down... up and down... it WILL come to life up to the next shorting point... thats where it goes dark again... do the same thing... it's a 15 second job once you know what you're looking at...
One possible helpful hint... when adjusting the coil... use a battery that isn't fully charged... run it down to 3.5 or so volts... it makes it easier to adjust until you know what you're doing.
ok zen, been doing as you suggest but as soon as i start using it i notice bad taste. so i remove top cap and see it is shorting again, then i start over again, and again. guess i have used batteries at all stages but i will try 3.5
For me, I found that 5 coils was the trick. I don't know whether it's because the coils are closer together or what, but, for me, 5 coils meant less shorts to fool with, and no dry hits.

yah i have 4/5 on it now, i was hoping it would help with dry hits. i use john creek red oak 100% vg but had no problems on other genesis with #400 mesh. im using 325 on this but still dry. thanks for all the suggestions!!
ok im going to try another coil as suggested (light tension), had been slowly making them looser thinking that would help with the shorts but maybe that was bad thinking
I'm sorry there are those that are still having issue with their Zenesis.
Used to get dry hits myself, I'd hold the mini upside down, let the juice drip from the wick and then get a few good vapes before I'd hit dry again. I fixed that issue, no more dry hits, just good stuff and I did NOTHING to my mini, I changed the way I was holding it.
Before I held my mini almost vertical while vaping it. Never held a cigarette that way but during my almost 2 years of vaping, I got into the habit of holding my devices up to my mouth like it was a microphone. After pondering what I could do different without tearing everything down again, I thought about how I could keep that wick wet.
I then had a ah ha moment with my mini Zenesis and thought, keeping the wick immersed in the liquid while vaping would surely end the dry hits and it did. No more dry hits and all I had to do was change me, change the way I held it.
Now, I hold my mini straight out in front of my face, horizontal, parallel to ground. The vent hold in the cap is in line with my wick and they face the floor too. This way, my wick is totally immersed in the eliquid when I'm vaping it and it's awesome now!
I love my mini so much now, I'm kicking myself for not getting the standard as well when I ordered.
LOL I came to same conclusion.
Actually, the limit is each bottle (of whatever kind of liquid), can be up to 3 ounces (really 3.4 oz.) And, you can have as many bottles as will fit in that ONE quart size, zipper baggie.
