I tried "just using it" and I just can't do it - the taste is simply awful! Tastes like burnt metal and burns my nose and throat something awful.

Those are shorts you are tasing Yeti. Look at the post I just put up for sachavaca. This will work for you too. I have many many Genisis mods and all of them are working perfectly. I do that will every single one including my Zenisis Mini and all are steam machines

Keep at it and soon everything will click and you will be a Genisis pro

Got my mini...yeeeeaaaaahhh!!! Zenesis Mini # 0092 arrived home today!!!!!!

Thanks Zen!!! I just gotta say this APV is amazing!! I got it working really fast and easily. Now vaping for about an hour, wick seems good and broken in now...good flavor...massive vapor. I switched to one of the 325 wicks as I'm vaping bobas bounty 100% VG. Wrapping the coil and searching out the shorts was a little easier, as I've had about 2 weeks practice with "other hybrid" (katana). I got this up and going a lot faster. I really like the smooth button/switch.

The only bad thing...is that the mail man must've been really rough with my package There is a small chip in the tank at the base, below the o-ring. So, it doesn't seem like it should leak....I just hope the chip doesn't turn into a crack.... Makes me worried about trying to take it off/clean it. So hopefully I can get spare tanks soon.

Thanks again Zen...and ALLL the Zenfidels with all the trouble-shooting and tips posted by everyone....made this a lot easier..LOOOVE MY MINI!!!

so... it seems like more than a few folks are going with that 5th wrap. seems like they've found a way to make the Zenesis variable voltage. (or, more correctly, the Zen Atty variable Ohm)
seems like one of the great truths of vaping is alive and well with the Zenfidels: learn how to use it and then tweak it to personalize your vape. i get more excited to get this every day.

I've did the juice and pulse thing and then I vaped a bit.. got metal taste so followed the instructions for a short. I futzed with it till it looked uniform (though the coils at the top are still glowing brighter than the 2 at the bottom - is that wrong) and now I'm getting less "dry" hits than I was and the flavor of the juice is starting to come out. Give me a little more time and I should be one happy vaper!

i never got the whole bottom button thing until Zen fixed my mind. he said, "don't try to push the button with your pinky. place it on your pinky and clench your fist"... brilliant!!! (don't tell him i said that...) that new way of thinking about it changed the way i thought about bottom buttons forever!! well, that and the fact that he won't make me a zenesis with a side button, so i had to get over it.

How do you hold your tube mods, Peach? If you're like me, I wrap my first three fingers around 'em and then rest the bottom on the inside of my pinky finger. Holding it that way, I squeeze my hand like I'm making a fist and that motion fires the switch easier for me.

Pinky gets pulled up to join the others, she's too weak to push up there herself. ROFL!

quick update.

quick because I got invited to a last minute bday party that I HAVE to go to.

so annoying having friends. that is why I try to not have to many (hence the smart ...-ness in me)

I am now the proud owner of a mini and a standard (still have a couple on the way along with some z-atty-p's ) mini #82 and standard #101

absolutely stunning pieces of craftsmanship. dare I say sexy? (that was for you zen. I know how you love the sexy).

I obviously do not have time for full reviews, reports and inevitable questions I will have, because as we all know I am a idiot.

Depending on what time I get home, and how much play time I will have, I will report later.

They are beautiful, feel rock solid and I am very thankful to be in possession of these with more to come.
