Did Zen send out the replacement switches yet? I have tho one with the two round magnets and would like to adjust the throw.

I've been working too much, can you believe over 120 hours last week? Can't keep up with the forum.

To get the replacement switch do I need to send Zen a PM? or just sit back and wait for it?

I have Zen Standard SN #0043 and love it. Quality through and through except the switch is a little wobbly and the throw is a bit too hard.

Thanks.

I'm seeing a lot of broken tank post and I was wondering if the Z-Atty will ship with the same quartz thank installed from the start? I'm sure it's a better overall material, just not very forgiving to drops/bumps.

Yes. They all ship with the quartz tanks. You may want to invest in the polycarbonate tubing and cut some for back-up tanks.

Amazon.com sells the tubing. Here are the sizes:

Mini is 3/4" ID and 1" tall (febbies are 1 1/16")

Standard is 3/4" ID and 1 5/16" tall (so are febbies)

Polycarbonate Tubing size:

The correct tubing size is 3/4 ID and 7/8 0D

You will also need a tube cutter. If you don't have one, This is the one I bought and it works well:

Amazon.com: Ridgid 40617 1/4-Inch to 1-1/8-Inch Close Quarters Tubing Cutter: Home Improvement

No he hasn't shipped them out yet. This is the last info I remember and it may have been put on hold with the ecommerce system going down:

Switch Upgrades...

Next week... Probably Wednesday... I will be putting an item in the shopping cart which is an "Upgrade Kit" for Febbies... It will have a price on it to prevent people from buying them. I will post a coupon Code that deducts the price and include the shipping as well...

You will need to put one in the cart, and use the coupon to deduct the price... You will ALSO be able to order other things as well, and you will get free shipping on those items as well when placed at the same time.

The Item in the cart will have full details of what will be included in the upgrade kit.

You will be required to enter your Serial Number in the comments box, as well as your original order number that I sent you with the payment request to take advantage of this upgrade.

It's been a month since I put a 5 wrap coil on my Standard. I've cleaned it a couple of times, and other than that, I've just vaped the hell out of it.

Today I went to clean off the crud, and the coil broke. I took it off, cleaned the crusties off the wick, wrapped a new 5 coil, and dry burned it to check for shorts. I had to move it just a bit, fired it til it was glowing, and tilted the APV to quench the coil. Tilted and fired it a few times to get it good and soaked and it's hitting like a champ again.

At this rate, I'm figuring I have enough Kanthal for approximately 3 years, give or take, and enough wicks for 6+ years. I grabbed some mesh right when I got my standard, because I didn't want to be without, no matter what happened, but clearly I was still in an Atty/Carto mindset--where you always make sure to have backups for your backups because things can go wrong as soon as you hit the button.

So besides enjoying the best vape I've ever had, I now truly have the peace of mind of knowing that I've have enough material to make atties for years. It's a good feeling. I've also done a quick bit of math, and I think my Zenesis is about 1/5th of the way towards paying for itself in atties and cartos I no longer have to buy. And that's just a bonus, because even at their best, my atties and cartos have never given me a vape this good.

I went to a local vape meet yesterday and really put emphesis on the fact that these rebuildables not only produce superior vapor and flavor, but they will actually save you money in the long run.

I sleep well knowing that I don't have to worry about DOA atties/cartos and that I have a foolproof setup. All I have to buy is juice/juice supplies.

Dodo do do do. I'm loving it. :D

Aww yea! I'll be set for the vapocalypse now. Just Getting up and going with DIY, once I have my Ti in hand next month, the only item I'll still need that they could possibly regulate is my nic liquid. It's a good feeling that I'm going to be self sufficient for the most part. Kinda like a tabac user having a few acres of tobacco growing behind the house. :D

 I know you didn't just end your post with the catch phrase for McDonald's :D

Nice , but it's actually, "do do-do do do"; your do-do was premature (edit: early)!

Yeah, but I blame it on my excessive drinking

(I havent broke mine yet, but I have the newer flame polished tank on my mini. It's weathered a few minor blows, but I haven't thrown the PV out of my hands onto concrete or dropped it in the toilet while "multitasking" like I did with my iphone years ago)

(Before someone gets the wrong idea about what I mean by "Multitasking".... Get your head out of the gutter. By multitasking I mean using the can while emailing someone...while socially inebriated...I went to flush and the iphone went right into the waterfall that was refilling the toilet. I dried it out good as new.)

is that like the OU OU bird, you know the one that lands on his b@[[$. 8-o

I purposely edited my post from "your do-do came prematurely", to avoid these misunderstandings.

I guess I should avoided the word premature and it's derivations altogether!

Mea Culpa! :p

Silver Lining: At least you didn't hone in on #2 as your muse.

Edit: ...., stealfdawg will... a couple of posts from now!

I have to agree, cleaner is better. But we need to remember why the group was originally created. To take some of the chatter away from here. So at times the group might be messy.

Here's what I am thinking. Let say a person stumbles into the group trying to find info on the zenesis and doesn't want to dig through this thread. They are not going to want to dig through the group too. I know it's not that hard, but that's not the point. So this new person is looking for answers, should we hold that against them and delete the post right away. How would you feel if a thread you started got deleted before you got any answers.

I suggest allowing the thread to be answered and then closed. Leave it for a week to allow the person to see the answer. Then it can be deleted to keep the group clean.

excellent. I think this is a perfect idea. thanks MR.
