Hey guys, just wanted to pop in and say hi! I realize we're well past the talk of the show, but I seriously can't keep up with this thread. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who joined us the other night, to CB for the opportunity to run such an epic show. An last but certainly not least to Zen~ for taking time out of a busy schedule and hanging out with us. It was truly an honor...

I'm still hoping to one day become one of the Zenfidels...until then, I will look on with envy and admiration...

Good Afternoon Zenfidels,

Eight years ago in college I took a Civil Engineering class, just a basic drafting class. For the first half of the class they teach you have to draft by hand, and obviously you need to know all the math behind it. The second part of the class is learning how to use AutoCad. I think most college classes are like this, you gotta get the fundamentals and theory down first. But yes there will always be people that don't understand the basics and think they can let the computer do the work for them, this is NOT true. You will always fail if you think the computer can actually do the designing for you.

I use AutoCad all the time in my line of work. I do event production. I do rig plots and 3 modeling of ballrooms for events.

I know exactly where you’re coming from Ripple as I come from a somewhat similar background. My first “Real” job was as a board drafter for a civil engineering firm. You see, back when they still used dinosaur eggs for footballs, my 8th grade Art teacher taught me how to use the drafting tools I found in his desk one day. While everyone else was finger painting, I was measuring the art room and drawing an architectural plan of it. It was love at first sight.

So when CADD came into our lives around the early to mid-eighties, I could see the writing on the wall. I stuck with it… What the heii else was I going to do? I sure didn’t like though. I felt like it disassociated the operator from their work somehow. As you said… One didn’t have to fully understand the math and/or geometry behind the commands like they did when you did them by hand. It didn’t appear to me that people took quite as much pride in their work… Although I know some very fine CADD Techs who are very good at what they do.

So, one of the guys in my department quit, and today is his last day. They catered a takeaway chinese food lunch for us. Kinda gross. But I ate mine.

The one thing I used to think was ok about smoking was the post meal smoke.

Yeah I used to love the post meal smoke...especially after a really greasy meal when you feel way over stuffed. After meal vape is always good too though

I love when people offer to trade you something, agree to trade, send you their shipping address and then change their mind. Trading my Orion V2.1 for a Zenesis anything has been incredibly frustrating...

Hang in there Ben, I'm sure you'll get the trade you are looking for.

Its mind boggling how indecisive people are. I don't think I've ever sent a trade offer I didn't intend to do, let alone agree to a deal, send my shipping info and then change my mind.

Battery Chargers.

Please tell me what to buy, including added spacers. I don't need the why and wherefores because the specs just confuse me......Just the bottom line, please.

I read all the info on RTD and Super T, but I'm still confused and undecided, but I'm leaning toward the WP6 and WP2....although I don't think the WP2 will hold enough batts for daily use of the Mini and BAM...........

I currently only use 18650 and 18350, and will also be buying more 18350s in anticipation of the BAM......I need low fiddle factor so don't want to constantly be fooling around with changing the spacer setup. I understand that, for the least trouble, I will probably need 2 chargers. I will be using 2 18650 APVs and 2 18350 APVs on a daily basis as I tend to rotate between all of them.

Do I want the Pila 2 charger and the 2 channel Xstar 2 charger?
Or the Xstar 6 charger and the Xstar 2 charger?
Or the Pila 2 charger and the Xstar 6 charger?

And the appropriate number/type of spacers, please.

I understand that the Pila is generally considered the best all around charger, but it only has 2 channels. Are 2 channels all I realistically need?

The Xstar 6 channel is the only one with temp monitoring........

The Xstar 2 channel charger needs 1 Aluminum spacer for each 18350 channel. I don't think the Aluminum spacers will work with any other charger or setup.

Gosh, even I'm confused by my post.........LOL

traded 3 items international, and till now everything was perfect
mini here, katana here and today got a note that i can grab my standard at postoffice tomorow.
BenC7 in a trade both sides have to feel comfortable and both sides can change their minds till both fully agree.
I ask for the full agreement because i prepare the package online and pay directly for the delivery.
Don't be frustrated, better that way than you send your item and the other decides to do it not.

can't wait for tomorow.

I have 1 Pila Charge and I can easily charge 4 batteries throughout the day. I actually always have 2 18350 and 2 18490 fully charged in the morning.

The only problem is like you said, you always have to fiddle around with the spacers to go from charging 18350 to charging 18650. I don't mind doing this it only takes a minute to unscrew the spacer.

If I were you I would just buy 2 pilas, and have 1 setup all the time for charging 18350s. And the other setup all the time for charging 18650. If you go through more than 4 batteries a day maybe think about getting a 6 channel, otherwise I don't see it is necessary.

Obviously, he didn't break any rules. I think its really poor taste to see a trade thread, send them an offer, agree to the offer, exchange shipping info and then change your mind. You can think its kosher, I think its pretty poor taste.
