hey y'all, sitting here vaping the Blue Moon WTA in the Ti. perty good..
G'night MissEmma and I'm still here just in and out because I'm at work. Been a long week and when I get off tonight I will have 82 hours this week.
Gosh, T, are they trying to kill you???? Is this just a seasonal thing, or do you work like this all the time? Have you been suggesting that they hire some more help, or are you just laughing all the way to the bank?
so what does it taste like?
I usually work a 40hr week and have to be on call once every 4th week. But we are covering for the friend I spoke of earlier this week. The 82hrs would have not been to bad but the first 2 days of it were only 8hr days, then anywhere from 12-15hr days. Hopefully he will be back tonight and I can get back on my regular schedule. We had a transmission plant open close by and some of the guys went there too but they have 3 in training. Its good money for when Zen gets his vendors going though (silver lining kind of lol).
blueberries and pears ...
I would not think that. And here's why
AW IMR batteries have a discharge capacity of 10C. 10C means 10 times the amperage of the overall storage capacity. So, a 2000 milliamp hour (or 2 amp hour) battery is rated to withstand continuous use without fault at a discharge rate of 20 amps. A typical 4 or 5 wrap coil will draw approximately 10% of the C rating which means that there is no danger of battery damage while there is a load present.
What may cause damage is a short that completely eliminates the load. I have to use some naughty terms here, but they have nothing to do with how the Zenesis functions and relate to thermal runaway. A coil of 2 ohms draws 2.1 amps which is well within the limitations of the battery. However, if you bypass the load and only have the natural resistance of the metal of the chassis...let's say .1 ohms...that amp draw jumps to 42 amps which is more than double the C rating of the battery.
So, while your situation may have been scary, it is not an example of why many, if not most, builders feel the need to have at least some form of venting even if they are designed to use safer chemistry batteries as the Zenesis is.
