LOL. I sure hope not.
Funny, that is where I was at before I got a REO. That and using drippers for my coil gunker juices. Now I can have the best of both worlds, squonking lets me take my coil gunkers out and about, and a quick re-wick keeps me vaping happily. As for the squonking, I took to it like a fish to water, but I squonk after my hit, so the wick is already saturated for the next. I love my REO, but I also love my tank setups, it's all good!
Don't forget about the flux capacitors and canooter valves!!

I caught on to squonking pretty quick and had to be mindful of how full my bottle was. Full bottle=gentle squonk. Almost empty bottle=harder longer squonk. My only problem now is when I'm reading and vaping; I'll sometimes try to vape while squonking instead of hitting the button! Hard for my brain to concentrate on two things at the same time. Still waiting for the muscle memory to kick in and going full auto all the time.
RA in my thumbs has gotten worse so squonking is quite painful more and more. Ok, i will bite for information- what is the thing you have found???
I love my Reo. Simple, reliable and very convenient. Squonking is no big deal for me. A big part of my attraction is the form factor. I don't see how you could keep the small size of the mod if you had to add a pump to it or carry 6ml of juice in a tank atty.

Moonbear-I also have RA and when my hands are really sore, I double thumb squonk. I place one thumb on the bottle and push it like a lever with the other. I also recently acquired a Woodvil with the plunger and it is much easier to squonk. That one gets used more than the others. [emoji4]

That's what my Grands give me. I wouldn't use anything other than a squeezebox even if it self levitated to my mouth, fired on esp brainwaves, filled itself and had a lifetime battery that held a continuous 4.2v charge.
There's just something appealing about the manual aspect of feeding juice (ashing a cig) that I need in my life.
I'd add that the rugged good looks and damn near indestructible characteristics of a metal grand that can be easily rebuilt play big into my infatuation with Robs box.

auto versus manual....
i think what draws most to a reo is auto feed devices can be a big pita and can be unreliable. dry hits, leaking etc... auto systems are very finicky in the setup, if not set up ideally then it doesn't work ideally, it can take patience to learn to dial in your build, your draw and your wicking and until you do it can be problematic in use... auto feed can have problems keeping up with higher power, heck there are a lot of reasons why auto feed doesn't do it well enough for many people.
a reo just eliminates all of that, by manually saturating the wick and coil at will, it becomes more foolproof in setup and use for many, and auto feeding is also a help when building higher powered vapes too.
the reo removes "balance" from the equation, auto feed tanks depend on a balance of wicking and draw and power level and when out of balance can provide a crappy overall experience compared to simple foolproof manual bottom feeding...
now that being said, there have been, and even more so now in the past year especially some new devices out now that are really well designed and just work really well auto feeding. I definitely get your point of view because once you wind up having a device that vapes great and gives vapor and flavor just as good as a reo and does it consistently without having to manually feed it, then you can start to feel like squonking is unecissary extra work. I sometimes feel lazy and just grab a tank and vape away vape after vape after vape doing nothing more than pressing the fire button but I still use my reo's more than any auto feed device. I think they both have there place...
it's kind of like the difference between an automatic car and a stick shift. auto is cool because it also removes the whole "balance" from the equation... in a stick shift you have to balance road speed, rpm's and gear selection along with your needs for economy VS acceleration/deceleration, it's no wonder most cars are autos, just a go pedal and a stop pedal.
those that prefer manual cars are usually those that are performance oriented and those that really want to control everything and extract every last ounce of performance and/or economy out of there vehicle...
the difference is, when it comes to cars, most automatics work so well that it just makes sense in most cases to go automatic.... vape gear is not the same, with vape gear automatics can be finicky and problematic and cumbersome unless your willing to put the effort into learning how to set up an automatic to work right for you and the way you vape. once you do though then yeah, squonking can be extra work that can start to seem very unecissary...
in the end all that matters is that you are happy with your vape and if you can be happy with an auto feeding vape then theres nothing wrong with that

Totally agree with you about the manual/automatic transmission analogy. I'm a 6-speed german manual driver by nature and I find the reo right in my wheelhouse. Apparently, that's how I roll.

Watched a video on the Gizmo. --> Shop | NatureVape . 
... and after seeing 5 min of it, I turned it off. Looked at my Reo Grand; grab it, and gave it a big ol' hug. Seeing the "Gizmo" really made me appreciate my Reo Grand - the KING!
