I was out searching for an electronics store to buy a regular battery charger. I typed electronics into my iPhone and it found a Radio Shack nearby plus a store called Digital Ciggz. I got the charger I needed at RS and then went to check out DC. I walked out with my first joye 510 kit and some juices. I'd been trying to quit for many years. Now almost a year later, I have not touched another stinkie. My car is almost free of the old ashtray stink too! I had never heard of ecigs before that.

Long story....I'll prolly save most for my blog or something...

I found out about vaping from one coworker. Then another non-smoking coworker tells me about a disposable he got for his wife to try. I'm heading to visit a non-smoking friend, and see one of the disposables next to the register as I'm paying for fuel. Already had some Snus, and thought 'could use these rather than ducking outside for a smoke'. Didn't really do much, but did do something. Dissected it afterwards, to see what was inside. A couple weeks later, found a 'cigarette look-alike' on a Chinese online shop (<$5, free shipping) and a couple of bottle of e-juice. Then another disposable, from local cigarette shop (manual battery this time). Once its battery died, modded it to use as a pass-thru for as long as that carto-thingy would last, dripping my ejuice and vaping away. Searching online for info on Snus led me to 'snus and vaping' and ECF. Then found the vendor's sub-forums, and grabbed a sale on a Vision 510 with clearomizer starter kit. Ordered that on a Friday, it arrived Monday afternoon, and Tuesday morning's first smoke was so awful, I took this opportunity to try to quit smoking. 1 month, 23 days, 5 hours since my last cigarette. :D

I was watching djWheat (Starcraft 2 commentator) doing a personal stream, and he kept taking hits off an e cig. At first I thought he was hitting something else, until someone mentioned it was an e cig. So I started looking around, and decided to give it a try. I have now been vaping for 3 weeks. I had to buy one pack of analogs when I ran out of carts, and was waiting on some e juice. Overall I am happy with vaping, and don't need analogs anymore (I was a 20+ yr Camel smoker.)

I will say getting into vaping can be very overwhelming with so many products. I am currently on a V2, but it seems like most people who are vaping are using better/bigger setups. Trying to figure out what to buy as a new, or relatively new vaporer, is very overwhelming.

Well, my friend and I set a date to quit smoking (analogs) together Sept. 1st. She mentioned ordering a V2 ecig as a means of gradually stepping down her nicotine intake (the patches cause her to break out in a rash). I had heard of ecigarettes before, & they seemed somewhat weird & sort-of creepy in a way....but I decided to try one out, as I knew it would be difficult hanging out w/her & not having something when she "smoked" her ecig. So I bought a disposable one at Walgreens (Blu brand- not too bad, actually). It definitely made those 1st few days of quitting a LOT easier to get through! I decided to get a rechargeable (kit), but just HAD to research first. Well, somehow I found this site, & discovered there are SO many options/devices/,flavors, etc.(!). After much reading here, I ended up ordering a VOLT from SI last week. Excellent product, and great customer service!
Ironically, my friend only plans on using ecigs for a few weeks to help w/nicotine cravings, then drop it altogether. She feels it is not enough like smoking analogs for her, and makes her want to buy analogs all the more because of this; I, on the other hand, am liking this a lot, & ordering various accessories/components/ejuices to try (lol!).

One of my co-workers had one about a year or two ago. He showed me and was explaining what it was, but me being the thick headed smoker that I was proceeded to say things like, "what a load of bull, it looks weird, I enjoy smoking, I dont need that, If I wana quit I will I wont need any fancy vapor machine", yada yada yada....

Fast forward to couple months ago when I tried quitting but needed some help, I decided to try out the very thing I made fun of a year before, and thats when I fell in love with vaping.

I'm probably not the typical vaper. For years I've been an occasional smoker. I loved nicotine, but the downsides of being a regular smoker were just too great. So I relegated the habit to a few times a year, though I felt the desire for a smoke much more often than that. Gums and patches just don't hit it.

My desire for nicotine had been growing stronger lately due to a bunch of different stressors in my life. A couple of my friends had tried the cigalikes and neither of them had much nice to say about them. I was considering trying one as a safer (and better smelling) alternative. Then recently I was reading Gizmodo and they had a review of various brands. They seemed to concentrate on the little mass-market e-cigs but they did give a little mention that there were alternatives. And then in the comments, a couple people posted links to ECF and I got to learn about just what a variety of PVs there were.

My first e-cig was an njoy that I had picked up at a truck stop. I used it for about 6 months & then my charger quit working. Not being able to find another kit I went back to the stinkies. Fast forward a few years & I decide to give them another whirl. Doing some research, I ended up going with the ego t. 35 days later I'm using a Kanger T2 on a ego twist. And totally stinky free.

i was wanting to quit analogs badly for a while but just couldnt seem to do it! Then a co worker showed me his lava tube and let me try it, it was diy banana juice that tasted absolutely amazing and the amount of vapor it produced was incredible compared to the stupid disposables which i failed miserably trying to quit with.. so he tells me his friend has an online vapor store and he lives here near us (vaperfexion.com) and that he could get me a starter kit for a good price. so the next day he had him deliver me a kit (mini lava tube) and i was instantly hooked then 2 weeks later I stepped up to a provari v2 and now I am waiting for my Zen Standard to arrive sometime this week :)

Just like I do now. I had a friend who showed it to me and he told me the benefits and how it works. I now carry the message. LOL
My first kit was a Ego twist1000 with a the old tank and a cleari. I since decided the old tanks are to much trouble and use a Carty and the cleari. I have a vv on order.
Just today I think I got someone to take the plunge back in after trying one of the early cig lookalikes.

A couple of years ago I was searching the web for smoking cessation and found a link to a cheap e-cig site. Started researching vaping and ended up buying a joye 510 ... just didn't satisfy my craving for nicotine. gave up and went back to analogs, wife got a very rare bacterial infection (related to sick building syndrome) 3 days in the ICU and 7 days total in the hospital got me researching vaping again.

I Saw a ton of posts about the new ego's, bought an ego T then switched to a CE4 and I was able to quit 2 packs a day in under 2 days. 5-6 weeks analog free. Finally found my juice of choice Premium Menthol from Awesome Vapor Arno and staff are great people to deal with!

I don't remember who's post it was that got me to give AV a try but THANK YOU WHOEVER YOU ARE! lol

A coworker would come out and Vape with us on break. After talking with him about vaping and asking a lot of questions I ordered an Ego 1100mah battery with 5 ce2 clearomizers. I ordered a 5 flavor sampler pack of juice and was lucky enough to find one that was an allday Vape. I have been smoke free for 12 weeks and loving it.

After 20 plus years of smoking my wife came home from work after seeing her coworker with a blu ecig. She told me all about it and turned me out into the woderful world of more.... More Vapor!!! More Vapor!! I haven't looked back since...well I did try an analog when 2 of my units went out at once and it was the nastiest thing I have ever tasted.... my taste buds and my sense of smell were working again just after 3 months of vaping....I'm so grateful for the information that made it possible for me to put down those nasty smelly cancer sticks....
