Just a few easy steps.

Inhale deeply.

Close mouth tightly.

Exhale with mouth closed.

In the event that any vapor escapes from your rectum instead of your nose, take your free hand, extend your thumb, thrust it violently into your anus. This should sufficiently plug up the orifice leaving the vapor no other place to escape but through your nostrils.

Happy vaping.

Now that sounds like a 'man of experience'! :D

Indeed. I was teaching a local bikini model how to vape and she asked the same question. My newfound, unique teaching method sprang into my head just in the nick of time and I saved her from a life of inferior vaping.

At first she had a very surprised look on her face. No doubt due to the astonishment of her newly learned trick. Once her eyes went back into her head, she writhed in excitement, and was praising me with squeals of glee. Well, more like loud yelps of excitement. I say excitement because that seemed to be the only logical reason for her loud bellows and obvious tears of joy.

She never did thank me, but the long stare she shot back at me as she ran away (undoubtedly to catch her bus) was all the thanks I needed. I returned her longing stare with a smile and one of these  I only regret that I never found out her name.

Oral-Nasal coordination? Do people have issues with that?

French inhaling! Wow, I haven't even thought about that in more years than I can count. I just tried it with vape and was surprised at the strong nose hit.
NOW that's funny,... I am imagining every reviewer will have to not only comment on throat hit,but nose hit as well.....
I only vape juice with a 5point nose hit anything less isn't worth hitting hehe

Yep. ;-) I figure that perhaps that's why I'm getting more flavor from my 510 that some do - on inhale and exhale. You know, like when you hold your nose you can't taste anything, so the nose is a necessary factor in taste.

You have to use your entire palate to truly 'get' an entire flavor, so exhaling through your nose as well as your mouth is the only way to do this.

I have friends in the cigar industry, and when they are blending tobacco, they burn all of the different blends to see how they taste... and this is the one proper way of sensing the flavor. It brings more sensation and fuller satisfaction so that you can detect specific flavors and enjoy them.

Crap, now look what you made me do. You made me post a well thought out, serious tone post dammit. This could ruin my reputation... quick, I need a joke that involves a bodily function or sensitive parts of the anatomy.....

I am going to answer this with complete sincerity and careful detail. This is because I have met some smokers who have no idea how to breath the smoke directly from mouth to nose without going into the lungs.
I've seen people knit their brows and try to do it and end up coughing. It's difficult to explain how to do this. I just sort of taught myself. The nose hit is definitely a part of replacing the analog experience for me. Here is my take on this:

It doesn't involve breathing or using your diaphragm in any way. Relax your stomach muscles, they have no part in the basic steps. neither do your lungs until you have mastered the basics.

This is very similar in many ways to sucking in liquid from a drinking straw before swallowing it, but with vapor instead of liquid, and pushing it into your nose instead of swallowing, which is why I will keep referring back to that process. Hopefully almost everyone reading this knows how to use a drinking straw.

1. Close off your mouth from your lungs and nose by pushing the base of your tongue against the throat hole at the back of your mouth, as though preparing to drink from a straw.
2. at the same time, press your tongue flat against the roof of your mouth.
3. Put the eCig tip in your mouth just like you would a straw tip in a drinking glass.
4. Draw the vapor into your mouth in the same way you would draw liquid into your mouth from a drinking straw, by pulling your tongue slowly down and creating a space between the roof of your mouth and your tongue. Remember while you are doing this to keep the base of your tongue pulled back, covering your throat hole. Just like you are sucking in liquid from a drinking straw.
5. Remove the tip of the eCig from your mouth, keeping your lips closed.
5. Now, relax the base of your tongue and let your throat hole become uncovered as you do just prior to swallowing a mouthful of liquid drawn in from a straw, but do not breathe in at all. keep your diaphragm still.
6. Holding your diaphragm still and your lilps together, push your tongue up to the roof of your mouth. The vapor should all be pushed out of your nostrils.

That is all there is to it! Practice a few times step by step. Take a big breath first so you will be able to hold your breath for a few seconds while you go methodically through the steps.

When you have mastered the basics, you can work on very slowly exhaling while pushing the vapor out of your mouth. The mixture of air with vapor can enhance the nose hit sensation significantly in my experience.

This doesn't just give a nose hit with nicotine, it also lets you taste and smell the flavor of the eliquid much more. And try it with a strong menthol flavor, it is a very cool nice sensation. Enjoy!

I could never exhale through my nose when I was smoking analogs. Now I find that exhaling through my nostrils pleasant with vaping. Though I find that I don't have a large amount of vapor through the nostrils as I do exhaling through my mouth.

I have found the same thing. So much of taste has to do with smell, so we probably didn't want it with analogs. But with vapor it intesifies the wonderful flavor.

I do a "french inhale" backwards from what is discribed. I do it vaping exactly the way I did it smoking.

I pull the vapor into my mouth, with my lips slightly parted, I inhale through my nose, and then open my mouth a bit and blow the vape out. It never goes anywhere near my lungs.

DIDN'T ANYONE WATCH "GREASE" WHERE FRENCHIE EXPLAINED HOW SHE GOT HER NICKNAME?

My girlfriends and I practiced that for hours when we were kids. I've smoked and vaped that way ever since.

Thank you for this detailed explanation. And thanks for being sincere. I will try this technique.

There is no such thing as a stupid question.
