You can't really equate eliquid to analogs. It varies so much from person to person. Don't fall for that cr4p where somebody says "1 drop = 1 cig" or something like that. It's inexact.

Ask yourself this, are you dizzy? Headaches? Any symptoms from having too much nicotine?

Do you crave an analog?

I'm going to assume the answers are no and no. Therefore, you're doing just fine.

The average person here vapes around 3-5mls/day. At least that's from my observation. Some are higher, some are lower. Me, I'm at around 2ml/day.

How many analogues does 2ml of eliquid amount to?

The amount of nic in your juice is 24mg's per ml. Absorption is another story. You don't get as much absorbed into your system as if you smoked. Tar sticks all of the nic to your lungs while with vaping, most of the nic is absorbed by your mouth and not lungs. No one really knows exactly what we get. My best advice is to listen to your body. If you still crave a smoke, vape more or a higher mg. If you start to get light headed, upset stomach, room spinning, or the likes, back off.

How many ml of eliquid do you vape? (this is a second question, please concentrate on the main q above)

6-7mls a day 18mg

Well the math is pretty simple...
the 24mg is meaning there is 24mg per 1 ML, so that 48mg
20*0.9 = 18mg

The issue is....absorption rate, we know that we get less nic from vaping then from smoking. Q is how less efficient is it in delivering the nic.
Cause you are not getting all 100% of the 48mg nor all 100% of the 18mg.

So until we have an accurate conversion rate...trust your body. It will tell you very quickly if you are getting to much nic, heck i can tell within 3-4 puffs a MG is higher then I need am used to.

But so you know average is around 2-3ml's a day and 24mg is where most pack a day smokers start out.

This is the Big problem with trying to equate ml to cigarettes.

The Nicotine that a cigarette is rated for is based on the Average Rate for the Average Smoker. So when you hear that a cigarette has .9mg of nicotine, that means that .9mg is absorbed into the average smoker. The actual amount of Nicotine on one cigarette is Much Higher, about 10mg-20mg.

But Nicotine rating of e-Liquid is based on Nicotine per milliliter. The is no mention or compensation for what the absorption rate is when a person vapes.

Can't really add to anything that's been said - other than, beware of anyone who equates mL of juice at 'x'mg to be the equivalent of 'y' cigarettes.
Absorption is still the big unknown but it seems likely to be much lower that tobacco cigs.

I vape around 2.5mL of 24mg juice a day - sometimes a little less - and I only used to smoke half a pack a day. But seeing as vaping is much more of a continuous thing with me (as opposed to one cigarette per work-break, every 90 minutes or so) I haven't noticed any craving.

Interesting post zoiDman, didn't know cigs were rated based on absorption amt rather than bulk amount in the cig.

It’s kinda funny how it came to be.

When Tobacco companies were required to label how much Nicotine was in a pack of Cigarettes, they did some quick math and came up a very Large number. A pack of Light cigarettes might contain 200mg of Nicotine and a pack of Full Flavored might top out at 400mg.

This was a marketing Nightmare because these numbers were more that what a Lethal dose of Nicotine was considered to be. At that time, Tobacco companies were doing everything they could to promote that Cigarettes were not a Health Hazard. How could they comply with the law but not have to label cigarettes with this high amount of Nicotine?

So they petitioned the Government to let them list the amount of Nicotine as the Average Absorbed Amount instead of the Total Amount per Volume.

Everyone was happy and it actually gave the consumer a realistic assessment of his/her Nicotine intake. Something that e-Liquids with their mg per unit Volume does not.

Thanks for the info Zoidman

No Problem…

I think what will happen when some Independent Studies are done on Nicotine absorption rates for e-Cigs is done, that the Total absorbed Nicotine will be similar for an Average Vaper to that of the Average Smoker .
