I put it in a white oak barrel and store it for 10 years.

Seriously though, I just shake it and throw it in the back of the steeping drawer. That drawer is so full that by the time I get to it, it'll have had all the time it needs to get as good as it's going to get.

I really believe in Time. I'm an Atom Grower, not an Atom Smasher. :)

I'm curious about this as well.

As I'm sure we are all aware, most of these flavors are used in other goods and are not necessarily specific to ejuice. If they are are not to be used at temperatures above 90 degrees, this would rule out use in bakery items and even hot beverages so that doesn't seem very likely.

It's the nic that shouldn't over heated not the flavorings, pg or vg. Nic will at the very least take on a darker color when heated to much or with exposure to air.

Yes, I'm aware of the effects that heat can have on nicotine however that didn't appear to be the only item of concern in regards to heat according to this individual:

90 degrees is the point that nicotine begins to breaks down, some flavors can be as low as 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

About this:
Ultrasonic is not a real mixer though you have to mic first even if just shaking. The ultra sonic just allows oils to blend with water soluble liquids. Like adding dish soap to clean oil covered dishes or alcohol to a pan of oil. They simply do the same thing acting as surfactants, allowing water to mix with oil but you still need to mix the mixture afterwards.

Then, if an ultra sonic isn't a real mixer, why is one used at all in making eliquids...since nothing that's oil or oil based is to be used for vaping? Just sayin'.......

Wow! Vaping Oils and saying flavors and nicotine are destroyed over 90°F. A 19 post KIA

So I guess the nicotine and flavorings are all no good that were delivered from California in the middle of the summer when the temperature was close to 100°F on the East Coast!

NOT!

Neighbor down the street has a Harley. I run down there, tape the bottle to his handlebar, and then he lets the bike idle for a few minutes...:D No, I actually just measure out my ingredients in a couple different sized graduated cylinders, toss them in a 250ml plastic bottle, shake it up by hand, then let it sit until it's clear (unless I'm totally out, then I use it as soon as it's mixed).

I'm not a fruit and candy flavor vaper, but those who favor those flavors say that they are mostly vapable the next day. I guess cremes and multiple ingredient juices are a different story.

Some of my tobaccos aren't bad after a week of daily shaking. I have some 4% FA Virginia that's too highly flavored after a week of steeping. I'll cut that one in half soon with a bottle of nic/pg/vg that I mixed in last week's DIY session.

Does anyone use a milk frothing wand? I bought on off amazon it has a stainless steel round mesh and the bottom and spins. Does turned your ejuice into a foamy solution a bad thing?

I did not mean bad for you lol. I meant as fat as juice quality and taste. Thanks for the reply though. Been having a hard time getting a good recipe together usually ends up harsh. New nicotine, new flavors, only thing that's not brand new is vg and pg. I'll just keep experimenting [emoji481] [emoji481]

Here's the Deal...

Some people say Agitating an e-Liquid will cause More Oxygen to Oxidize with the Nicotine in an e-Liquid. And that is Bad. Others say that using a Frother makes their e-Liquids Taste Better. And that is Good. Others say it is an Unnecessary Step/Expense. Where others say it is Very Necessary. And won't Mix without one.

So when it gets right Down to It, its kinda one of those things that a Person kinda has to Try for themselves. And sees if it works for Them.

I don't use one. Or any others means to Mix except shaking a Bottle By Hand. I think you can Kinda Overthink things sometimes. But that's just Me. And if a Person likes to use a Milk Frother, or a Mag Stirrer, or a Rock Tumbler, or Whatever, and they Like the Results then that is what they should Do.

---

On Harshness:

What Flavoring Percentages (on average) are you using?
What type of Sweetener(s) do you use?
Does you Diluted Unflavored Nicotine Base taste Harsh?

In order to diagnose why your mixes are harsh I would suggest taste testing your bases separately for starters.

Take a few drops of your PG and vape it standalone ( ideally in a clean RDA ) without any nic; do the same for your VG as well. If neither of those have a bad or harsh aftertaste, add your nic and taste test again.

While I personally find PG to be a little bitter to begin with, I once had some that was particularly off-putting and until I got rid of it, nothing was going to taste good, at least not to me. I've never had an issue with VG or nic myself but I've definitely heard of some nics adding unpleasant 'nuances' to a mix. :)

Once you have ruled out your bases you can look more closely at the individual flavoring(s) and/or percentages being used as possible culprits.

At what temps/watts/volts are you vaping what flavors ?

Light (fruity) stuff really likes vaping with less power and the deeper (custards) like more.
