Yeah I have refilled a couple all ready, so I know a few drops spilled won't hurt you.

When you refill a "non-flavored" tobacco cart (IE; it tastes like a regular smoke) You get almost no noticable residual flavor.

HOWEVER, if you refill a mint cart with say chocolate, you still get a lot of mint flavor in it.

I was thinking if you were to remove the filler, put it in a syringe to squeeze it as empty as possible.

Then maybe wash it in water only (Let's not be dumb and add a soap flavor).

Put it back in the cart, and maybe you won't get any leftover flavor.

I wouldn't be bothered with all this, except there are way more flavors of liquid on the v4l site than there are cart flavors, so I would imagine that some of the accidental combos would get pretty nasty.

Think Menthol, and say peach or orange combo!?!

You dont have to be afraid of the juice, that amount will not kill you if you touch a little
Take the old filler out of the cart, tweezers, paperclip??
and put it on a piece of paper towel or napkin and fold over the PT or napkin and it gets all soaked up, real easy,

Some people clean it under water and let dry I use most of the same juices, so it does not matter to me
I rarely re use the filler, there are SO many alternatives you can find on this site to try something else as filler

I use this:

I was at my local supermarket (Pathmark) getting the usual milk, eggs and butter. Then at the aisle where they sell toothpaste and stuff, I found these dental type tools used to clean teeth.

Well, picked up a pack, went home and the top of those carts come off very easily.

Well I found a LEGAL way to get syringes.

On the net (ebay was what I used) you can buy syringes with blunted (cut off) needles.

Apparently those are legal as no IV drug user would be desperate enough to shove a blunt needle in their body (RIIIGGHT!)

When I use these I have found you can put about 1 ML (CC) into a cart. I use a piece of heavy wire that is actually bent at a right angle to remove the end cap.

After that it is simple to use the syringe.

Question for ANYONE that can answer it.
I have used cartidges (Mint) that I bought with the kit. The mint is so strong that anything I add to it tastes like mint.
Believe me some of them are some very weird, and NOT tasty combos. (Like minty RY4 was nasty!)

How can I completely clear the mint taste from an old cart?

I have attempted to remove the filler on one cart only to find that it is in there VERY securely.

I have thought about trying to flush it out with water, but am worried that it would destroy the vaporizer.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

how do you determine when the atomizers are going bad? do they just stop working? do they start tasting bad?

Good question.

I am going by the assumtion that these atomizers, being that they are "disposable", were not really made to be constantly refilled.

I normally by about 20-25 carts, when done, refill them one time then throw them out until my new shipment arrives.

I have found that the carts (imo) are not as good refilled (taste and vapor) vs. brand new ones.

I use PS menthol and it's not just the same on refilled carts. But, I refill them until I can order a new batch of carts from Vape4Life.

Atomizer will start to go bad when it does not produce the amount of vapor and taste it should or just does not work anymore.

I don't bother pulling the caps off, I just wait for the slightly burnt taste, and put 10 drops (straight from the Nobacco bottle) into the battery end of the cart.

No mess, no fuss, and the cart is good as new and last about the same as a new one.

I need to try that method to see if I get better results.

I use the tweezers that came with my Johnson Creek Starter Kit...I dont know how they afford to sell that thing...Comes in a case with a bunch of little sample flavors, empty 801 carts, tweezers, little droppers....ITS crazy!!! Also when filling these carts,LESS IS MORE, pull the tips off slow and roll them in your fingers so they fill around evenly...you can only use them so many times...The other thing I noticed about those carts is when you think they are almost empty, if you let them sit for a few days they come back to life for another 100 hits or so

Has anyone had one of these "die" yet? Or kept track of how many times you've refilled one that is still working?

I was also wondering (with all of the "green" efforts these days) if there would be any way to kind of recycle these after they die. Send them someplace to be emptied of all contents and refilled with new stuffing and atomizer. It's not something I'd do until I had a fairly large quantity of dead ones, say 20 or more. If we could dispose of less (and maybe get a discount on recycled items ;)), I think it would be great. The logistics might get a little hairy, I suppose.....and might be more work & time involved than it's worth. Perhaps the parts could be offered as supplies to purchase? Has anyone in the Mods section done anything with these? Anyway, just some ideas/questions.
