Just carrying around a device you are as safe as carrying around a Girl Scout cookie, it is the charging process that is the reason batteries "blow up" as it is worded. Your MVP is a self contained unit, thus you are protected from the outer casing. In a worse case scenario it would just get very hot but never "grenade" on you. if you are at all concerned, there are charging bags you can buy to keep your device in and use when charging batteries
If I ever have to leave a charging battery unattended it goes in the bag before I walk away. But it can also double as a protective bag to carry devices/batteries in too.
Thank you everyone. I am feeling much better. I'm trying to not feel silly or paranoid, but I had to ask. Thank u all for not making be feel stupid. I really appreciate everything.
With the negative media attention / spin / bs / hype surrounding vaping it really isn't a silly or paranoid question.
Stick around and participate, lots of great info & opinions around here.
if it starts ticking, well, toss it, duck and cover.
It could happen, not very likely, but could happen. Heck, given the right incentive, most anything can be coaxed to blow up, but not likely, less you tried really, really hard.
I found that I like 1.5 to 1.8 ohms the best on a mvp, start at low watts and make my way up on watts to were I find a sweet spot. alot depends on the juice used if it starts to taste burnt lower it.
